No, VIT Vellore BTech admission is not decided through JEE Mains scores. Candidates who wish to apply for BTech must appear in VITEEE only in order to qualify for VIT Vellore admission. No other entrance exams have been mentioned as alternatives to VITEEE.
VIT University BCom course admission is merit-based. Hence, the selection is done based on aggregate obtained by eligible candidates in previous qualifying degree/exam. The shortlisted candidates are called for a counselling (virtual or physical) round. Vellore Institute of Technology offers 66 UG, 58 PG, 15 integrated and two each of Research and M.Tech (Industrial) courses across multiple streams. The Vellore Institute of Technology has announced the VITMEE exam dates on the official website. VITMEE exam was scheduled for April 28, 2026 and May 3, 2026. Applicants had to carry their VITMEE admit card along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre.

If during counselling rounds a candidate does not have their Class 12 board exam, they will be granted provisional admission, if they are selected.
