Admissions and Entrance Examination
Mumbai University Admission 2023 will begin in the month of June 2023. For admissions, a university-level admission procedure is conducted by Mumbai University. The university offers admission to various UG and PG programs in Technology, Science, Law, and other fields. It conducts an entrance exam called Common Management Entrance Test (MUCMET) and (MUCLAT) for shortlisting the candidates into management & law courses. No, direct admission is not available at Mumbai University. In order to pursue MBA from an MU-affiliated college, the selection is based on merit scores obtained by the students in one among MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, MAH CET, ATMA, GMAT, NMAT, SNAP, SMAT exams accepted by the various affiliated colleges of MU.

Mumbai University Admission Procedure
The Mumbai University admission procedure will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying degree/ exam or based on the university-level entrance exam. There are multiple steps for the admission procedure like completion of the application form, eligibility, exam, and counselling.

Mumbai University 2023 Entrance Exam
Mumbai University conducts its own university-level entrance exam called MUCMET/ MUCLAT. The candidates who want to be admitted to Law and Management fields have to apply for this exam. The exam is conducted in offline mode. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and the question paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Mumbai University cutoff 2024 for the admission to MCA course is yet to be released. MCA admission to Mumbai University's affiliated colleges is based on a valid MAH MCA CET score, followed by its counselling process. Going as per the last three year cutoff trends, The closing score for Master of Computer Applications (MCA) was 73.75 in 2023, 85.38 in 2022 and 72.65 in 2021 for VIVA Institute of Technology. For Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, the cutoff scores were 99.56 for 2021, 99.77 for 2022, and 99.76 for 2023. Similarly for other colleges under Mumbai University had the unstable cutoffs over a period of three years.
On analysing the cutoff trend, MU has witnessed a fluctuating trend for the General All India candidates. With this, we can expect an increase in the range of cutoffs this year. Tabulated below are the previous year MU cutoff based on MAH MCA CET scores:

Mumbai University 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for Mumbai University:
For UG Courses:
- Qualification: Candidate must pass 12th or equivalent from any recognised board.
- Subject: In the qualifying exam candidate must pass with Physics, Chemistry/ Biology as mandatory subjects.
- Marks: The minimum mark a candidate must score is at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).
- Appearing: Those candidates who are applying for the qualifying exam in 2023 are also eligible for the exam.
For PG Courses:
- Qualification: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognised university/ institute.
- Marks: In the qualifying exam, a candidate must score at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
- Appearing: Those candidates who are in the final year or semester of the qualifying exam can also apply for the exam
Procedure to Apply for Mumbai University Admission
Step-1: Go to the website of Mumbai University 2023.
Step-2: Click on the New Candidate’s registration link.
Step-3: Fill out the application form with details like Personal, Communicational, Address, etc., and submit them.
Step-4: Pay the application fee through online mode and offline mode.
Step-5: The candidate can view the filled application form and click on submit and confirm button.
Step-6: Take the printout of the Application form and fee receipt for future reference.

Mumbai University 2023 Counselling
The candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list will be called for the counselling process. Those who will secure cut-off marks based on the merit list will be eligible to appear in Mumbai University counselling 2023. The counselling will be conducted in many rounds, based on the availability of seats after each round. The candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank in the merit list.
The candidates who will be selected for the counselling process have to attend the counselling on the specified date and time at the given centre.

Mumbai University 2023 Result
The Mumbai University result will be available online. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidate's performance in the entrance exam. Candidate must download the result for future reference.

No, students can not get direct admission in NMIMS Navi Mumbai. The university accepts students purely on an entrance basis for most of its courses. Students also have to appear for the competence tests and PI.

Candidates seeking admission are only required to submit the pre-enrollment form along with the application form to get admission.
