SAT stands for Scholastic Assessment Test. • Reading Section 

• Writing and Language Section

At times, one additional section i.e. Essay section is also added in the SAT examination. The usual time duration for the examination is Three hours (180 minutes ) or Three Hours and Fifty Minutes, if the essay section in included. 

The best part of SAT Examination for Indian students is that the examination is conducted seven times in various months in one year. They can take as many attempts as they choose to.
