Yes, you can easily get lateral entry admission to the BTech Textile Engineering and Technology course given that you have a 3-year engineering Diploma in a related discipline with at least 50% marks in the final exams and clear the lateral entry admission test. You need atleast 60% to get in BTech at Calcutta University as per the eligibility requirements set by the university. Hence with a score of 55% in Class 12 you are not eligible. But you can apply to different colleges and universities.
