NPAT 2026 Preparation in 4 Months: SVKMs NMIMS conducts NPAT exam every year for BBA admission. More than 3000 seats are filled via NPAT exam. NPAT is a competitve exam, however, four month duration is sufficient for NPAT preparation. Candidates must follow a streamlined process and select right study material. While preparing, candidates must follow NPAT syllabus and exam pattern, use NPAT sample papers, and solve mock tests regularly. NMIMS NPAT Exam Preparation in Four Months
Four month is an adequate time for NPAT preparation. While preparing for NPAT exam in 16 months, candidates have enough time for understanding test tappern and syllabus. Candidates can focus on buidling conceptual knowledge and then proceed towards differet types of questions across all three sections. In the overall preparation time for NPAT exam, candidates must practise using sample papers and mock tests. Candidates must also focus on building their speed and accuracy. Once candidates are towards the end of their NPAT preparation, they must take out some time for revision.

To streamline the NPAT preparation in four months, candidates can divide the exam prep into four equal parts.
NPAT Exam Preparation in 4 Months: Week 1 - 4
During the first phase of NPAT preparation, candidates must focus on learning the fundamentals and cover impottant topics from the NPAT syllabus. Additionally, candidates must focus on the section they find toughest from NPAT exam.
- In the first week of NPAT preparation, start by knowing the overall syllabus and exam structure. Candidates must check NPAT sample papers to know the type of questions and difficulty level of the exam. Candidates must also gather books thay feel will help during the NPAT preparation. One must also analyse the topics which seem tough.
- Second week of NPAT preparation will require candidates to start with the toughest section of NPAT exam. Candidates must cover the difficult section first and revise it again in the end.
- In the third candidates must pick different types of questions from the topics which they have already covered. This would help them know the type of questions they can expect in NPAT exam.
- In the fourth week of NPAT 2026 preparation, candidates must prepare short notes for all the topics they have covered and plan what they need to cover in the weeks 5 - 8 of their prep phase.
While preparing for Verbal Reasoning section of NPAT exam, candidates must recognise grammatical structure and usage, use prepositions, determiners, connectives, tenses appropriately.
Other than solving various kinds of problems, memorising formulas and learning tricks for Quantitative and Numerical Ability, test takers should start solving riddles, sudoku and puzzles to strengthen quantitative skills for NPAT exam. The sole trick to excel in the quantitative ability section of NPAT exam is to practice. Candidates must ensure solving as many mock tests and practice question papers as possible. This will make sure that the candidates know about different types of questions asked and the difficulty level. Additionally, practising improves the speed and accuracy while taking the NPAT exam.
NPAT Exam Preparation in 4 Months: Week 5 - 8
Once the candidates are done with first four weeks of NPAT 16 month preparation, they can proceed towards topics which they find moderately challenging. Usually, candidates find Logical Reasoning or the Verbal reasoning sections to be moderate in terms of difficulty.
- The second month of NPAT four month preparation strategy should include candidates to reassess their progress to analyse which section requires more attention. One must go through past year's NPAT question papers to analyse the topic wise weightage.
- In the sixth and seventh weeks of NPAT preparation, candidates must study with a focused approach. Candidates must make short notes and analyse different types of questions that can appear in the NPAT exam. One must also solve 2-3 previous year's questions each day.
- In the eigtth week of NPAT exam preparation, candidates must attempt sectional mock tests. One must attempt at least one mock test every 2-3 days. While answering questions, candidates must analyse their speed and accuracy. Additionally, candidates need to assess the topics which require a second visit.
- During this phase, candidates must also revisit what they studied in the first month of NPAT preparation to stay on track wioth what is already covered.
NPAT Exam Preparation in 4 Months: Week 9 - 12
With the start of the third month, candidates might have completed two sections out of three. The next step of NPAT exam preparation requires candidates to move on towards the easiest section.
- In the starting of the ninth week, candidates must allocate around 10 -12 days to complete the last section under NPAT syllabus. Candidates must practise 20 - 30 questions daily from the section to stay on track with the preparation.
- In the tenth and eleventh week, candidates must finish all topics of NPAT exam. During this phase, candidates must start practising questions across different sections.
- In the twelth week of NPAT exam preparation, candidates must start practising full length paper under exam like conditions. While taking the mocks, candidates must evaluate their performance and create a list of topics which require a revisit.
NPAT Exam Preparation in 4 Months: Week 13 - 16
Last month of NPAT four month preparation should be devoted to revision.
- The thirteenth week will start with full length mock tests. Candidates must practise 3-4 mock tests in this week. While taking mocks, candidates must identify recurring mistakes and time consuming topics.
- Fourteenth week of NPAT preparation must be devoted to previous year's papers to know most important topics for NPAT exam. In this week, candidates must solve 4-5 past question papers. To build speed while solving NPAT question paper, candidates must try and each question within one minute.
- To achieve a one minute per question target, candidates must look out for shortcuts while calculating and read daily to improve their reading speed.
- Starting the fifteenth week, candidates must start revsing formulas and shortcuts daily.
- In the start of the sixteenth week, candidates must take at least two mocks to analyse where they stand.
- In the last week, candidates must not start any new topic and keep the overall revision light. Additionally, candidates must avoid late night studying to stay calm on the exam day.

SVKMs NMIMS assesses critical thinking and analytical skills using the Reasoning and General Intelligence section of NPAT Exam. In this section of NPAT exam, in order to solve questions that are based on critical thinking, test takers should try to analyse the roles and conditions and based on it, solve the questions.
