Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra State candidates:
- Candidate should be a citizen of India

In the MAH BBA CET CAP, there are three categories in which the seat allotment is done:
- Maharashtra State Candidate: The candidate should be an Indian National and must have passed -year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a recognised university (at least 45 per cent in case of candidates belonging to backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only). The candidate must have obtained more than zero score in MAH BBA CET exam.
- All India Candidature/Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate: The candidate should be an Indian National and must have passed 3-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a recognised university. They must have also scored more than zero score MAH BBA CET or CUET. The candidate should have passed an AICTE-approved Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent
- NRI/OCI/PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries: The candidate should have passed minimum three-year duration Bachelor's Degree with 50 per cent marks or equivalent, awarded by the University recognised by the UGC or AIU. Any other criterion declared from time to time by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra as defined under the Act.
Seat Acceptance Rules for CAP Round of MAH BBA CET 2026
Seat acceptance by the candidate within the deadline is critical. Those who do not confirm seat acceptance, their chance gets lapsed. Check below key rules:
- All the eligible students who participated in CAP rounds and have been allotted the seats for the first time need to self-verify the seat allotment, accept the seat and pay the seat acceptance fee in the online mode through his/her login.
- If the student has been allotted the seat in his/her first six preferences, the allotment will be auto-frozen, and they need to pay the seat acceptance fee online through the candidate login. These students will not be able to participate in the subsequent CAP rounds.
- If the student has been allotted the seats other than their first six preferences and has frozen their allotment can pay the seat acceptance fee online after acceptance. These students will also not be able to participate in the subsequent CAP rounds.
- If the student has been allotted a seat other than the first six, they can choose the Not Freeze/ Betterment option for betterment in the subsequent rounds. However, they still need to pay the seat acceptance fee online.
After accepting the seats, students need to report to the institute and receive confirmation of admission. The institute will verify the submitted documents, such as previous academic marksheets, MAH BBA CET scorecard, admit card, etc. and upload the admission of the candidates online. The authorities will then share a system-generated receipt of confirmation of admission and the fee paid receipt to the candidate.
