How would I know my UGAT exam centre?

Candidates will know their allotted UGAT exam centre only from the AIMA UGAT admit card. There is no way to know the test centre before the release of the UGAT admit card. The examination authority allots a test centre to aspirants in the city of their first preference as mentioned in the application form. So, candidates can atleast be assured that they will get a test centre in the city they had chosen as first preference in the UGAT application form. However, the venue will be mentioned only on the candidate’s admit card. So as soon as the UGAT admit card is released, candidates must check the test city and test centre details. In order to avoid any confusion, they must visit the centre at least once before the exam day.

What is the reporting time for UGAT exam?

Candidates who are appearing for the UGAT exam must report at the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. The UGAT exam will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Candidates must reach the exam centre the latest by 8:00 AM. Candidates must also note, that they will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before the exam gets over.

During the UGAT registration process, candidates need to select their UGAT exam centre. The candidates can choose upto five UGAT exam centres for the UGAT exam centre allotment. Candidates should choose the test centres in the order of their preference, as they cannot be changed after the UGAT exam application form submission. Will the AIMA UGAT admit card include allotted test centre details?

Yes, the UGAT admit card will mention all the details of the exam centre which has been allotted. Candidates must note that they will not be allowed to change the exam centre. They must reach the UGAT exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts to complete the frisking formalities. An elaborate verification process is conducted before the exam begin, hence, the students must not reach late at any cost.

Can I show a digital copy of the UGAT Admit card at the exam centre?

No, digital or soft copy of the UGAT admit card will not be accepted at the UGAT exam centre. The candidates have to carry a coloured printout of the UGAT admit card to the exam centre to get an entry. UGAT admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the UGAT application form. The examination authority does not accept digital admit card as valid document as it is to be signed and stamped by the test centre staff for proof of candidate’s attendance.

Can I change my UGAT test centre after the admit card has been issued?

No, candidates can not make any changes once the UGAT application form has been submitted and the admit card has been issued. Candidates can however, contact the exam conducing authorities if they find any error in the UGAT admit card. Having said that, UGAT exam conducting authorities reserve the right to modify, add or combine any test centre/s if required.

What are the important documents to be carried to the UGAT exam centre?

The important documents to be carried to the exam centre include the following: Two coloured printouts of the UGAT admit card Photos of the candidate affixed to the AIMA UGAT admit card (preferrable the same as the one uploaded in SET application form) Valid photo ID proof (issued by the Government of India) such as Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Pan Card, etc. Black or blue ball point pen Hand sanitizer Transparent water bottle

Can I carry a watch, eatables and water to the AIMA exam center?

Eatable and drinks are not allowed inside the UGAT exam centre. But, candidates must carry their personal transparent water bottle to the exam centre and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times. Electronic gadgets including watches, mobile phones, calculators, smart devices, etc. are prohibited inside the UGAT exam centre. Candidates should carry recent passport size photograph, photo ID (original and photocopy) and UGAT admit card along with them to the exam centre.

AIMA UGAT exam is conducted in many Tier 1 test cities in India. Among these, UGAT exam is conducted in Jaipur, Rajasthan. There are no other cities or districts in the state of Rajasthan where UGAT exam is conducted.

UGAT 2026 is conducted by All India Management Association across various centres in PBT mode. How to Select UGAT Test Centre?

The centres of the UGAT exam are well-maintained exam halls. Students are required to report to these exam halls on the scheduled exam date. The UGAT examination halls are in 20 different cities across India. There are 10,000 to 12,000 applications every year for the UGAT exam. On this page, read everything related to UGAT test centres.

UGAT 2026 Test Centre: Dos and Don’ts

Q: Can the UGAT exam be given remotely?

No, the UGAT exam cannot be given remotely. Every year the UGAT exam is conducted in the paper-based test mode. In 2021, the exam was however conducted in the internet-based test mode because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since, the UGAT exam has always been conducted in the paper-based test mode (CBT). To take the exam, candidates have to visit the UGAT exam centre and take the exam offline. They can choose upto five preferred UGAT test cities during the UGAT exam registration. Candidates must reach the test centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam in order to avoid any hassle on the exam and complete the frisking formalities at the exam GATE smoothly.

Q: How many test centres can I choose for UGAT?

Candidates can choose upto five UGAT test cities according to their preference. Candidates must very carefully select the cities as once the UGAT application form is submitted, they can't change city preference. They should choose the first city of preference as their hometome or where they are residing as the exam authorities will likely allot the test centres to candidates in their first city of preference. Candidates are allotted a test centre in second or third preference only if the seats have been filled or the exam centre has been cancelled at that location. Candidates should know that the UGAT test cities cannot be changed once the form is submitted even during the form correction window.
