Admission to the BTech programme at IIT Jodhpur is based on performance in the all-India level Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), followed by JEE Advanced. Based on JEE Advanced score, candidates need to take part in JoSAA counselling. Candidates can apply on the JEE official website (nta.ac.in). Candidates who secure a rank more than or equal to the IITJ BTech cutoff become eligible for admission.
The last year 2022, cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category were - 1179 for OBC, 652 for SC, 354 for ST, 366 for EWS and 138 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
Admission to the course is entrance-based. Aspirants are required to take JEE Main and JEE Advanced. STEP 1: Application Process (JEE Main/ JEE Advanced)
To seek admission in BTech at IIT Jodhpur, candidates need to apply via JEE Main followed by the JEE Advanced application. The application process for JEE involves form registration, form filling, document upload, and payment of the application fee. For applicants’ reference, the steps involved in the application process are as follows:
Step 1: Visit the JEE official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and click on “Registration for JEE (Main)”.
Step 2: Fill out the registration form and click on the submit button.
Step 3: Login with the credentials entered during the registration, fill out the application form, and upload scanned images and documents.
Step 4: Pay the application fee.
After a successful payment of the application fee, the application form is submitted automatically.

Candidates shall keep the below-mentioned documents with them during the IITJ BTech form filling for a smooth application process:

- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held ion May 18. JEE Advanced 2025 will be conducted by IIT Kanpur. JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates who achieve rank among the top 2.5 lakh candidates could apply for JEE Advanced exam. Candidates can appear in JEE Advanced two consecutive times. JEE Advanced 2025 will be held in CBT mode and there will be 2 papers. Each paper will have 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates had to attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs.
IIT Jodhpur CSE average package offered was INR 28 LPA during placements 2022. Students saw an increase of nearly 32% in the average package offered to BTech CSE students during placements 2022 when compared to 2021. IIT Jodhpur has not released the average package offered to BTech students during placements 2023. According to the placement report 2022, more than 150 companies visited the campus during the placement drive. Many top companies such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, and Samsung, among others, visited the campus during the placement drive 2022.
