IIT Kanpur College review.

Placements: Every single student who went for placement ended up getting a spot in coaching institutes like Physics Wallah and Prutor, with packages typically ranging from about 6 to 7 LPA. When it comes to math, it seems like a lot of folks are looking to pursue their Ph.D., whether in India or overseas, if we are talking placements, Statistics is actually doing better than Mathematics in our department.

Infrastructure: Talking about the colleges infrastructure, it includes all the basics, clean water supply, spacious Science labs, an auditorium for cultural events, and a playground for sports, there is also a well-stocked library and tidy classrooms. Students can take advantage of transportation and on-campus housing if they do not have their own rides, the mess is kept clean, and while the food is pretty good, I think adding more choices that students like would be a bonus.

Faculty: The faculty and staff do a solid job here. First-year classes felt a lot like high school, which made the transition smoother, the college does a nice job recognizing academic achievements and really goes out of its way to celebrate the top performers.

Students who are interested in pure mathematics should apply.

Placements: The placement in B.Tech courses is very high in comparison to M.Sc. The students of M.Sc. are usually placed in coaching institutes with a package of around 6 LPA. The placement of M.Sc. Statistics is better than that of Mathematics. The reason for low placement of M.Sc. Maths is fewer students are interested in it.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing. The students are provided with all the facilities such as Wi-Fi 24*7 hours, sports ground, gym, indoor badminton court. The classrooms, labs, and library are equipped with AC. The electricity and water supply are also available 24 hours.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and experts in their respective fields. The teachers have done their post-doc in the best institutes of the world. The way of teaching varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers take very tough exam papers. Some take exams from their class notes.

Other: The course comprises of pure mathematics. Applied mathematics and computer languages are not taught at an advanced level in M.Sc.

Take admission only if you love pure mathematics.

Placements: All the students who applied for placement were placed in coaching institutes like Physics Wallah and Prutor in packages around 6-7 LPA. In mathematics, most of the students are interested in doing their Ph.D. from India or abroad. The placements of Statistics are better than mathematics in our department.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided here is excellent. 24*7 hour Wi-Fi is provided in the hostels and labs. The library is opened till 12:00 in the midnight. A new core lab is opened till 2:00 AM where both Linux and Windows computers are available. The lecture halls are lashed with modern equipment.

Faculty: The curriculum for Maths involves pure mathematics more than the applied part and most of the teachers are expertise in their field and willing to deliver their best. The difficulty of the exam varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers tasks the questions from their class notes while some ask from reference books.

Other: Campus life is full of joy. There are no restrictions in hostel timing. Even boys and girls are allowed in each other's hostels.

A college where some dreams flourish whereas others get dropped by itself.

Placements: Around 70-80% of the students who apply for the placements get placed. There are many circumstances on which this % depends like a student who gets a job but then rejects it due to further researches, etc. Other things which are the obstacles in the way of placements is carelessness of students towards the mock test preparation.

Infrastructure: IIT, Kanpur has one of the largest campuses of the cream IITs. Its campus measures the second largest area dominated by IIT KGP. The classrooms are very attractive with necessary audio-visual aids. Although the old building is becoming weak day by day, the infrastructure can be rated 3.5/5.

Faculty: As everything has some limitations along with the significances, most of the professors at IITK go towards deep learning while others are keen to cover as much syllabus as they can. Sometimes it creates the unnecessary pressure on students. The course curriculum is well set as we have the flexibility to get courses in other departments also.

Good placement in IIT Kanpur like 80% placement.

Placements: Placement depends on your preparation. 1 crore is the highest package, while 6 LPA is the lowest. All top companies are recruiting, with over 50% focused on mathematics and statistics. There are too many different courses; if you cannot make the effort, then you will fail. Academics are challenging at IIT Kanpur. If your CPI is low, then you are not eligible for placement, so hard work is necessary.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in each room and all the hostels with unlimited 540Hz. The library is open from 8 AM to 12 AM, and the department operates from 8 AM to 5 PM. Everything is good, including the mess food, the canteen, and the health center services. Sports and games are also great. The Gymkhana at IIT Kanpur provides all services.

Faculty: Yes, the faculty does excellent work. The teaching quality is great, and many have qualifications from abroad. The semester exams are very different. About 60% of students are placed, depending on their performance, presence of mind, learning skills, and knowledge in coding and skills such as C, C++, R, Java, PHP, and Python. If you have good knowledge, then you'll be selected.

Other: I'm interested; that's why I increased my hard work. There are many events like Antaragini, Udghosh, Techkriti, etc. They are famous festivals, and the crowd is energetic, so many extra activities are on campus.
