Review of IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Almost 80-90% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was 2 crores per annum. Google, Microsoft, and Apple visit our college to hire students.

Infrastructure: Our college has a library facility. Wi-Fi is also available on campus. Laboratory is highly equipped. Hostels are clean. Seniors are also helpful. Medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. They are always ready to solve our doubts. Term exams are not difficult to pass.

Very good placements and internships and campus life is awesome.

Placements: Almost all of them were placed. 90% of the students. The highest salary was 33 LPA and avg was 11 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. Some top recruiting companies are Jindal, Tata steel etc. Top roles are associate manager, head engineer etc. 90% got internship in many big companies including some IT companies.

Infrastructure: There is a separate building for our department different labs for different course like for thermodynamics experiment there is a section for it. 24 hrs free Wi-Fi and speed is also quite good and LAN connection is also provided. One of the biggest libraries in Asian.

Faculty: Yes the teaches are well qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is though less than expected but its fine if you attend all the classes carefully you can do really well. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant and it makes students industry ready.

Other: I choose this course because I got this based on my rank. Best thing is workload is very less so you can focus on many other things to improve your cv like coding analytics etc.

Journey of a student at IIT Kharagpur.

Placements: I am enrolled in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department of IIT Kharagpur. This year the placement of my department is quite impressive. Around 70 percent of students are placed in the first phase. The highest package so far given is 47 LPA by Amazon. The lowest package is 12 lacs. And the avg package is around 15 LPA. Top recruiters are Vedanta, JSW, Bajaj Auto, Applied Materials, and other companies. Internships percentage is 100 percent, including on-campus and off-campus in a variety of companies from core to SDE.

Infrastructure: Inside the campus, personal mobile networks (internet) don't work as jammers are there. But the campus is fully covered with Wi-Fi, starting from hostels to classrooms as well as laboratories. New buildings are being built for the students. Food quality of mess is average. Other than that, medical facilities are also not that bad. Sports and games facilities are quite good. Inside each hostel, we have a gym room and playground.

Faculty: The faculty members of IIT Kharagpur hold great expertise in their field. As well as they are quite good and supportive towards the students. The course curriculum is good but needs more hands-on sessions as well as practical application. Basically, the difficulty levels vary from professor to professor, but it's not that difficult if you have attended the classes.
