Totally worth it, just come to an IIT and you will live your life.
Placements: There are more than enough rules offered for this branch, as well as the core structure, which is really interesting so that the people can explore their fields and their interest in pursuing higher education in physics, as well as give them a chance to get to know about other departments and their courses by selecting open electives.
Infrastructure: The hostels are more than enough for staying only 4 years, and the core structure is also pretty good. Roads are pretty good. Cleanliness is around the whole campus, and dedicated classrooms and lecture halls for different departments so that they can accommodate many people at once are also there.
Faculty: Not every subject is an easy one, but yes, there are a few easy ones, and there are also tough ones, but mostly you don't have to worry about scoring marks because the grading system is relative, so it will be normalized according to that. Welcome to IIT; everyone is smarter than you.
Other: Welcome! It is an IIT, so the fest is also good, and the crowd is also pretty awesome.

Campus Life in one of the oldest IIT known as IIT BHU.
Placements: I'm in the IDD Physics course. After the Recession, the Placement percentage is around 40% in the research-related branch. The average package this year is 19 LPA, which is much better. The highest and the lowest CTCs are 38 and 10 LPA. My branch strength is 31 and around 7-8 students got offers in internships. The major placement opportunities are in SDE and Analytics. Top recruiters are GOOGLE, JPMC, AMAZON and many more top companies.
Infrastructure: The Department environment is so studios and full of greenery. The Labs and Classrooms are so well maintained, college's Environment is full of Greenery and infrastructure making the one of the oldest campuses in India. In the college, there is a temple that gives a scriptural vibe. The Hostel and mess are not so good as like hostel as we all know. For Medical facilities, there is a Health Care Centre. For Sports and games, there is a dedicated space known as SAC and Gymkhana.
Faculty: In my Course all the professors are well qualified and also friendly in any kind of problem, they also did many kinds of research in their respective Physics branches. As we all know Physics is part of our daily life and Engineering also, so for that there is also a Physics dedicated branch is required in engineering. There are 75% attendance criteria for passing any course. There exams are not so difficult for 1-2 hours daily study is good for passing any course.
Other: I have an interest in Physics in my JEE preparation and I also like to pursue my degree in Physics. This course has many things to learn, if your career is not oriented towards Physics core (Research, Ph.D. etc.). then also there are many things to learn in this course. There are many events and fest organised by the college all our much fascinating. The crowd will also gather by any of the clubs or council in a week. There are many things to improve your abilities like personality, health, crowd speaking and many more.

The college you are looking for.
Placements: In my branch almost all the students got places with a pretty good placement package. The highest Package : 42 LPA the lowest Package : 9 LPA AVG Package : 20 LPA The course of Physics is more research based but for people interested in non-core, companies that came were : Flipkart, Amazon, Samsung, Zomato, IBM, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure here is top class. Classrooms are very large and spacious, Wi-Fi speed is very good, All equipments in labs are in good condition and also the TAs are very good. Library is the quietest and the most lovliest place to study in, it has very good environment.
Faculty: The Faculty of Physics department are the best. They help students in every possible way they are very knowledgeable. The way the teachers teach is fabulous. Course curriculum are very relevant for future and it helps students to be industry ready. Semester exams are quite toughie.
Other: Because of my interest in Physics and astronomy. The best thing about my course is that it is a generalized course I. e. you can direct your career in any departments of Physics may it be quantum or astronomy or mechanical or electrical, etc. The events and the fests here are wonderful and a lifetime experience.

IIT (BHU): The Best Time of my Life.
Placements: 95%+ students placed from all courses; the highest package is INR 40 lacs and the lowest is approximately INR 6 lacs, with an average package of INR 22 lacs in my course. The top roles are SDE, Product Manager, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, etc. For my course internship, not everyone got it, but 30% of students got it.
Infrastructure: Since IIT BHU is one of the oldest universities in India, that's why the infrastructure is not as good as in all other top IITs. Mess food is better than all other institutes in India. The good thing is we can go to any canteen in any hostel, and mostly the canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but few teachers teaching skills are good. They just come in for lectures to complete the syllabus, not to give us knowledge. The course in engineering physics is very good for research-oriented students; most of the alums are pursuing Ph.D.s at top universities around the world.
Other: I love to study physics and math, and I also want to go for higher studies in physics. That's why I chose the physics department. Most of the course is not required, but we have to study due to academics. This is the cons of my course.

Very good faculty and environment, & colossal placements.
Placements: 97% of our course are placed. 31 out of batch strength of 32 were placed with an average package of 38LPA. The highest package is 1.2 crores per annum and top recruiting companies are amazon, google, goldman sachs. Almost everyone who applies got internship from mnc course. Top roles offered are SDE, finance analyst, consultant and data analysis.
Infrastructure: There is a large collection of books in our library (srinivas deshpande) and also there are libraries in department too for more knowledge. Wi-Fi is present in hostel and department buildings with a fabulous speed. Classrooms are big and large. Medical facilities are also available with ambulance and there are security office and posts at each corner for security purpose. Mess food is very good with different varieties so as to satisfy north as well as south indian students. Games and sports facilities are also good here we get coaches for each sport.
Faculty: Course structure a bit compressed due to covid from 2 years so is becomes a little hectic when you start it. But teachers are very cooperative and helpful. Faculty members are very good here. Semester exams are not so difficult as there is relative grading according to college and course. Almost everyone passed who studied sincerely even for last week or so. Attendance is a must for exams. 75%attendance is compulsory.
Other: I am interested in finance and stuff so I decided to get the branch related to finance and things and according to my rank I got mnc at IIT BHU. Best things about the course is the versatility as I get knowledge in both Maths and computing both of which are in great demand. Fests are the coolest days in college life and IIT BHU fest never disappoint you if you get into it. There is a problem in distance as classes are almost 1 km away from hostel so you have to go for bicylce.

It provides good placements, average infrastructure, great opportunity to explore many new things.
Placements: Placements phase has been good in the year 2021, not only from engineering physics also from other departments as well. A total of 329 companies visited in IIT BHU in 2021-22 placements with 1199 offers. The highest salary package offered is 2.16 crores. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. For engineering physics in 2020-21 placements, the highest salary package offered is 28 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 17 LPA. The median salary package offered is 19 LPA. Many students who are focused to do research go for higher studies abroad after graduation. Many students go in other domains like SDE, data analyst, data scientist, product management, consultancy, etc. Also in the IITs branch does not matter much if students are interested in non-core. Many big companies open for engineering physics including Oracle.
Infrastructure: No other IIT gives students a chance to live in 100 years old buildings. Our hostels are not beautiful as other IITs but they are spacious. Good Wi-Fi facilities are available, and it is free of cost for all the students. It has wide classrooms. Some hostels are old and some are newly built. I have not visited the campus yet but according to our seniors, the satvik mess food is very delicious and has good quality. It also has a canteen. Game and sports council is very active, and it provides facilities for aquatics, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, chess, cricket, football, handball, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, squash, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, and weightlifting.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They teach very well. In some subjects, students have assigned teaching assistants so if students get any doubt related to that subject, and students can directly contact them. Even students can mail their doubts to the professors, they are always ready to help. The courses are relevant. In the online semester, I experienced that the difficulty level for exams is moderate, and the evolution process is also not so tight. Our seniors who studied in the offline semester that the exams are easy to moderate level. One can easily get a pass with effort.
Other: Many events like KashiYatra, Technex, etc., are conducted in IITBHU every year. It has many clubs and counseling for various things. Students can learn everything without any prior skills and knowledge be it dance, music, drama, drone making, robotics, business things, entrepreneurship, designing, video editing or photography, and many more.

I regret joining this college.
Placements: 100% of students got placed from this branch. The average package offered is 25 LPA, the highest package is above 1 Crore (2019), and the lowest package is around 15 LPA. The top companies for this course are Amazon, Google etc. The top role offered is SDE management. Above 90% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is unlimited with decent speed, and it is everywhere like library, classrooms, labs, hostel and workshops. Mess food is the best among all IITs. Sports are pretty good. The largest sports fest is held in our college, in which many celebrities come. It is a good platform to develop cultural art.
Faculty: The faculty are very knowledgeable and helpful. You can do innovative projects. The teaching quality is good. The pass percentage is average, 40%. There are many courses that make you a social man. You will also learn courses like education value development of society.
Other: The courses are vast, and you have extra subjects like English, Physics etc. We have 100% placement records for engineering students.

Campus life is good, infrastructure is good but needs improvement and so does some of the facilities
Placements: Considering the overall placements (on-campus and off-campus) of our college, it is 100%. If we talk about on-campus placement, there are many companies that visit our college, with different profiles like coding, analyst, consultancy, travel, management etc. Also some of the core companies of mechanical, civil and electrical also offer jobs considering your GATE score. Also, some of the R&D companies mainly for applied branches (physics, chemistry, maths, biochem, biochem, material science). Now considering the stats of our seniors placed, it can be said that the major companies visiting our college are of coding and data analyst. Also, their pay is maximum among different companies. So, if anybody is interested in coding can easily get a good placement regardless of their branches as many are open to all branches. So our college's highest paid job is with computer guys i.e. CSE branch. This time, the maximum package offered was approximately 1.6 cores, and we cannot have a correct estimation of the lowest package offered as many core companies offer small packages but their reputation and stability matter a lot in getting your further jobs. The average package is around 9-10 lakhs. Same stats go with the internship, the number companies visiting are less, as many startups do not come during the internships rather, they offer internship directly through the internshala.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good but old. Considering that the college is one of the oldest colleges (est 1925) it is justified and also considering the fact that the college changed to IIT in 2012 before this, it was an institute of technology. It can be said that the college is in the developing stage to cope the standards of IITs. Facilities provided for academics and sports are more than enough. We have got a huge main library with more than 1,00,000 books and other departmental libraries. The classrooms are old, but new lecture theatres are coming up which justify some parts. As we are a part of the great Banaras Hindu University, we share some of the facilities with them like computer library and medical facility. It is a little bit cumbersome, but the facilities are good. Medical facility lags a bit and is a major issue of our talk in our parliamentarian session. It is difficult to upgrade because our university is open and is big, it takes a great deal of administration to handle more than 1,00,000 people. Same goes for hostels, some are old and big, but new hostels are coming up. Canteens are good considering that there are certain restrictions to some of the stuff to be allowed within the campus like cold drinks and other, but at the end, it can be said they need improvements. Like the infrastructure does not matter if facilities are good, same happens here.
Faculty: There are 13 departments in our college, all were established before it being an IIT and so does the faculty. Some of the professors are well qualified, but there is some glitch due to the above reason. But the newly recruited are well qualified and satisfying. The courses offered are of four-year B.tech and also of five-year dual degree (M.Tech and B.Tech). Admission to all these programmes is through JEE (Joint entrance exam). The course curriculum is good, but it needs some good amendments. We have good opportunities to get enrolled in different diploma courses in different universities. The curriculum is useful if you are going to have a core work in the near future. But if you are thinking of non-core, then you have to work for yourself, the sources are enough to help you.
