SOFT CET is a popular design entrance exam. So, the competition is going to be there, though not at the level of a NIFT or NID DAT. Q: What is the registration fee for SOFT CET?

The registration fee for all the programmes and categories is the same i.e. INR 4000. The application fee has to be paid online at the time of filling out the application form. The registration fee once paid is not refundable. So, be careful before you proceed to fill out the application form.

Q: On what basis will admission to Undergraduate degree programme will be offered through SOFT CET?

A student needs to appear for a General Ability Test, Studio Test, followed by a Personal Interview + Portfolio + Statement of Purpose in order to get a seat in colleges. Note that all the stages are mandatory. This means if the candidate doesn't appear in any stage of the admission process, he or she will be disqualified.

Q: Where can I check SOFT CET results?

The authorities has released the SOFT CET 2024 Merit List on the official website. The candidate will have to download the merit list by logging into the candidate portal. Note that only such candidates who are included in the merit list will be considered for admission.

Q: Are there any sample question papers for SOFT CET available on the official website?

Yes. Once the candidate registers successfully for the entrance exam, the authorities will email the sample question papers to them. The candidate can use the sample papers to prepare for the exam. The more sample papers one solves, the better one will get at solving various problems.

Q: Can I make the SOFT CET payment via offline mode?

SOFT CET 2025 Exam Pattern is drafted by MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology, Pune, the exam conducting body.

The SOFT CET 2025 exam will be conducted online and has three parts: 1) General Ability Test, 2) Studio Test, and 3) Personal Interview + Portfolio + Statement of Purpose. All the tests will be conducted on the same day. The candidate needs to appear in all tests.

The GAT question paper for the exam will include questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal/Non-verbal Reasoning, Analytical Ability, and Creative Ability sections. Candidates appearing in the SOFT CET 2025 exam must carefully go through the exam pattern to ensure that their exam preparation is aligned with the requirements of the exam.

SOFT CET 2025 Exam Components

The SOFT CET 2025 exam will have the following components:

General Ability Test
Studio Test
Personal Interview + Portfolio + Statement of Purpose

All tests will be conducted on the same day. Also, the tests will be conducted in online mode.

Weightage of Test Components:

Online Test	60 Marks
Studio Test / Group Discussions	140 Marks
Personal Interview (Portfolio + Statement of Purpose)	50 Marks

It is mandatory for the candidate in all the test components. If the candidate skips any of the tests, he or she will not be considered for admission.
