Absolutely satisfied with the faculty members and decent placements.

Placements: Placements at the campus are satisfactory, but compared to other campuses, they tend to fall slightly behind. In our course, only a limited number of students could secure job placements. The highest package offered was 700000. Some of the top recruiting companies were Birla Group and Titan.

Review of MFM course from NIFT, Chennai.

Placements: Most of the students had to find internships and job opportunities themselves. The college does not actively work towards finding a good opportunity for growth and practical learning for the students. The highest average package offered was 6.5 LPA. Most of the companies come for merchandising roles.

I'm satisfied with our college.

Placements: Around 3 seniors from our college got placement for 25 LPA recently. That means B.FTech specifically has good placements at NIFT. Some of the other department seniors got placed at good companies in Noida and Delhi. Internships in our college are also great, and they are according to your grades and skills. Try gaining extra skills too.

The pros and cons of NIFT Chennai.

Placements: Placement is fairly good. Almost 90% in accessory design. It depends on the student's caliber and portfolio rather than grades. Some of the courses struggle in placements but a good portfolio really helps. Companies are not very high paying initially. Maximum average packages are around 4.5 to 5 LPA.

Yes, an average student can get admission in NIFT Chennai. But this is only after completing the selection rounds. Students have to do well in all the selection rounds. With proper planning, average students can get admission in NIFT.

NIFT Chennai selection process is entrance-based mainly. The institute conducts an entrance exam of its own. Students have to appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam first. The test includes Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test.

Students have to meet the National Institute of Fashion Technology Chennai eligibility to get admission. The common eligibility is as below:

  • NIFT Chennai UG eligibility - Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board
  • NIFT Chennai PG eligibility - UG degree from a recognised university

NIFT Chennai generally does not offer direct admissions. Students have to meet the admission requirements to get a seat. This includes appearing for entrance test + interview. Students may contact the NIFT Chennai admission desk to know more.

To get admission in NIFT Chennai, students have to check the eligibility. Eligible students can then apply online. The institute selects students on an entrance basis followed by other selection rounds. To complete the process, students have to pay the admission fees.
