PGIMER MSc Nursing 2021 Counselling was held after the declaration of the PGIMER MSc Nursing 2021 result. PGIMER Chandigarh in its last notification has announced that the counselling was scheduled to be conducted on July 12. The counselling schedule and other related guidelines have been announced and are available on the official website of PGIMER Chandigarh. The first counselling for admission to MSc Nursing was scheduled to be held on July 12, from 11:00 AM at APC Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh. All the provisionally eligible candidates are required to be present in person. A list of the provisionally eligible candidates is annexed. The presence of the name in the provisional list does not guarantee admission to the course. The admission will be subject to further verification of the original degree/certificates at the time of counselling/admission.

 The PGIMER Nursing 2021 counselling will be held via the offline mode and candidates will have to report to the counselling venue for the verification of the documents on the day of counselling. Candidates who will secure the qualifying marks will be shortlisted and called in to participate in the counselling round.

Documents Required for the PGIMER Nursing 2021 Counselling

Candidates are required to carry a set of documents along with them on the day of Counselling. They have to bring one set of self-attested documents along with the originals for the verification on the day of PGIMER MSc nursing 2021 counselling. Below is the list of documents required for the counselling:

  • Original copy of the admit card with sign and seal of the Invigilator
  • Merit list copy mentioning the rank of the candidate
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or Class 10 Certificate).
  • Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination (class 12)
  • Class 12 mark sheet
  • In case of OBC/ SC/ ST certificate issued within the last six months, from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
  • OBC/SC/ST category candidates should provide their original proof of certificate to claim reservation
  • Experience certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • Challan form
  • NOC from present employer (if employed)
  • Migration certificate from the passing university
  • In the case of Punjab residents, proof of residence or the domicile is required
  • Medical Certificate in case of PwD Candidate.
  • Recently clicked Passport size colour photographs

PGIMER MSc Nursing 2021 Counselling Rounds

PGIMER MSc Nursing 2021 counselling will be conducted in various rounds depending upon the availability of the seats. Details about the counselling rounds are mentioned below:

  • First Counselling: As many as six times (approximate) the number of total seats available in each category, applicants will be called that is for each seat six (on average) candidates will be called in for the counselling. In case, if any candidate does not choose any of the available seats, he/she can attend the next round of counselling.
  • Second Counselling: If any vacant seat is left after the first counselling, the conducting body will organize the second counselling round. Applicants who did not choose the respective seat will be eligible to attend the second round.
  • Third Counselling: In continuation to the first and second counselling, if any seats are left vacant, the third counselling round will be organized
  • Open Counselling: In order to conclude the counselling process, the conducting body will organize open counselling to fill up all the vacant seats (if any). The open counselling round will be based on the merit rank of the participating candidates.
  • Applicants can participate in every round even after they are allotted a seat until they get a seat in the specialization as per their choice.

The institute has not announced the fees for the AY 2025-26. When PGIMER will announce the fee, students will be able to pay it using debit or credit card. Last year, the application fee for this course was INR 1,500 for the general and OBC categories and INR 1,200 for the SC/ST category.
