Well-balanced college with good faculty, supportive environment, and strong ECE department.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is 25 percent. The highest package in my course is 14 LPA, and the lowest is 25 LPA. The top recruiting companies in my college are Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. Only 10-15 students got an internship from our course, and 1 or 2 got internships from Intel, and others got internships from BPCL, etc. The top roles are VLSI design, embedded systems, and EC engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure, like classrooms, is there, including projectors. There are many labs, including 2 computer labs and the electronics lab, such as the digital communication lab, etc. Hostel food is average, and canteen food is sometimes the worst. Medical facilities, sports, and games are available.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in the ECE department are not that qualified. A few teachers also connect the syllabus with real-world applications, which makes learning more interesting. The ECE curriculum covers important areas like communication systems, embedded systems, digital electronics, and signal processing. It provides a solid technical foundation, but to be fully industry-ready, students usually need to gain extra hands-on experience through internships or online courses on recent technologies such as IoT, VLSI, and machine learning. The semester exams are moderately difficult and mainly focus on understanding.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because it combines both hardware and software aspects of technology. It offers a wide range of career paths in embedded systems, communication, robotics, and IoT, which really interested me. The course builds strong fundamentals in electronics, circuits, and communication, while also giving exposure to modern fields like microcontrollers, digital signal processing, and networking. The practical labs help in understanding how real systems work.

It provided good placements in 2024. It has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The college offers the average package of 4 LPA. The minimum package is 2 LPA and the maximum package is 7 LPA. In 2024, 97 students were placed on campus and 133 students were placed off campus. A total of 230 companies visit the college for placements. 54 students got internships. SSET saw a 32% increase in 2024 compared to 2019-2023 from 68-100%. Companies like Google, UST Global, IBM, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: We have separate blocks for each department. Each department has labs such as an electronics digital lab, microprocessor lab, etc. We have an excellent Wi-Fi connection in the hostel, library, and on campus. Classrooms are spacious. Each classroom has a chair, whiteboards, and a projector. The library is spacious and air-conditioned. A lot of study materials are available. Mess and canteen are same, and we get a variety of food and hygienic. There is a sports ground and gym. It has an indoor badminton court and an auditorium. The hostel is separate for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. Many teachers are PhD holders. The course curriculum is relevant. The course is NBA accredited and the college is also NAAC accredited. Semester exams are neither too difficult nor too simple. It varies according to the subject and year. The pattern is based on the previous year's papers. The pass percentage is 60-80%.
Other: I like B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, so I chose the course. 2-3 events are organised in a year such as Onam, Christmas celebration, arts fest ( Vipanchika), and sports day.

My own experience at SCMS.
Placements: 90-80% of the students are getting placed. The highest package is 1-2 lacs per month. Top recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Samsung, and all. Internships have or doing a good role at my college. The placements so overall are very good at SCMS School of Engineering and Technology.
Infrastructure: We have very good labs provided there. Good Wi-Fi, the library with central AC, and classrooms are cleaned every day. The food provided at SCMS is very good. Non-veg and veg are provided separately so it's a good option. I would recommend joining this college, SCMS School of Engineering and Technology.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in helping us to thrive in our dreams. They are providing enough knowledge to us. Teachers are very well qualified at SCMS School of Engineering and Technology.
Other: I have chosen this course ECE because of only I can jump into both software as well as hardware.

Good college. Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: There is a 40% chance for a student to get placement in both software engineering and hardware engineering. Below 70% of students got internships. But overall, the college is good. They train for interviews and other tests. Companies are available abroad.
Infrastructure: Libraries are good; they provide reference text and can be borrowed there. Poor network connection, but they have Wi-Fi. Classrooms are not bad. Provide a smart class. Whiteboards. Always keep neat and clean. Washrooms are also good. Hostel accommodation is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. 1, 2 faculty members show partiality. The exam was conducted with no malpractice. There are two internal exams conducted, which provide a good future for the student. Faculty members are friendly. Electronics and communication is hard to study, but it is a good course.

Our college has a library. Our college has projectors for presentations. Workshops and seminar halls are also available.
Faculty: I am absolutely satisfied with the college. Our placement cell is very good. They always try to provide better placements in the best companies. I chose the information technology course because this is booming nowadays. The college doesn't have a hostel. But we have a great canteen on campus. The college fests are great.
