Karnataka Examination Authority will start the KCET 2026 registrations soon. Candidates looking for admissions could fill KCET application form 2026 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. Applicants filling form can check documents required to complete KCET registration 2026.

Karnataka Examination Authority released the KCET application form 2026 at the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. The KCET 2026 application form is released on January 16, 2026 (Official date is January 17, but they activated the registration window one day prior). Candidates Interested for admissions into KCET, will be able to fill the application form of KCET 2026 till the last date, which is February 17, 2026. Students can check here the documents required to complete KCET registration 2026.

Documents Required to Fill KCET Application Form 2026: Karnataka Examination Authority released the KCET application form 2026 at the official website on January 16, 2026. Students can fill out the KCET 2026 application form at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. While proceeding with the KCET registration, students will have to fill in their details along with uploading scanned documents. The documents required to fill KCET application form must be uploaded as per the specifications mentioned in the official notification PDF.

Documents Required for KCET Registration 2026 

Candidate are required below mentioned documents to fill KCET application form. 

  • SSLC/10th class marks card to enter registration number and date of birth. 
  • 12th/2nd PUC marks card (In case of previous year students). 
  • All the reservation certificates to enter RD number/caste (Category, Income, Non-creamy layer candidates (NCLC), Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) candidates). 
  • Details of studying in Karnataka. 
  • Candidate latest photograph in JPG format (Maximym size of 50 KB). 
  • Candidate signature in JPD format (Maximum size of 50 KB).  
  • Canidate left hand thumb impression in JPG format (Maximym size of 50 KB).  

Documents Required Admissions Through KCET 2026  

At the time of admisison in the Karnataka CET exam and during the document verification, students must produce certain documents at the allotted colleges for verification. Apart from documents, some forms also need to be submitted as per the format. Candidates are advised to keep original copies of all the documents ready before KCET 2026 to avoid last-minute hassle. For more details, candidates can refer to the table provided below.

  • After announcement of 2nd PU / 12th Results, candidate should obtain the signature of the principal of the institution where he / she has passed 2nd PU / 12th Standard examination on the provisional marks card. 
  • Internet downloaded marks statement printout will not be accepted. 

SEVEN Years Study Certificate counter signed by the concerned BEO / DDPI 

  • Study Certificate to show that the candidate has studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years from 1st standard to 12th standard or qualifying examination issued by Head of the institution including SSLC / 10th Standard or 2nd PUC / 12th Standard. 
  • Further, School study certificates should be countersigned by the concerned Block Educational Officer (BEO) / Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) COMPULSORILY in the proforma prescribed in the following pages. 
  • Counter signature is not required for CBSE / CISCE study certificate. 

Kannada Medium Certificate 

Candidates who have studied in Kannada Medium from 1st to 10th Std. in Karnataka and also 

outside the state of Karnataka. Certificate for having studied 10 full academic years in Kannada 

medium from 1st standard to 10th standard issued by the Head of the educational institution and 

such certificate should be countersigned by the respective BEO or DDPI in the proforma prescribed in 

the following pages 

Rural Study Certificate 

  • All the candidates who claim seat under rural category will have to obtain a rural study certificate for having studied 10 full academic years in rural areas from 1st standard to 10th standard from the respective school/high school issued by the head of the institution which should be countersigned by the concerned Block Educational Officer (BEO) as per format. 
  • General merit candidates who claim seat in rural category should also submit Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued from the concerned Tahasildar along with the rural study certificate as per format with RD Number 

Caste / Caste Income Certificate (Income and Caste Certificate)– with RD Number 

  • Caste / Caste income certificate should be in the name of the candidate. 
  • Candidates seeking reservation benefit should obtain Caste Certificate in Form ‘D’ in case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes; in Form ‘E’ in case of Category -1; a Caste Income Certificate in Form ‘F’ for Other Backward Classes such as 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, issued by the concerning Jurisdictional Tahsildar, in accordance with the Government order No. Sa Ka E 225 BCA 2000 dated 30th March 2002 and No. Sa Ka E 104 BCA 2011 dated 06-02-2012 as amended from time to time. Annexure-II to this rule is reuploaded in the following pages for the information of the candidates and parents. 
  • The candidates belonging to SC, ST and Category –1 of the Other backward classes should also obtain a separate Income Certificate to claim Tuition Fee Exemption from concerned department/Government of India scholarship as per the prescribed format. 

Income Certificate 

  • All candidates including General Merit candidates are eligible for Supernumerary quota seats if their annual income is less than Rs.8.00 Lakhs. 
  • Income Certificate should have RD Number and it should be in the name of the candidate. 
  • The candidates who claim seat under “Supernumerary Quota” (SNQ) will have to obtain an income certificate from the concerned Tahsildar. (For Engineering Seats only) 
  • SC / ST / Cat-1 and GM candidates should obtain income certificates separately. 
  • Caste and Income certificate uploaded by eligible 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates will be considered for Supernumerary seats. 

Article 371 Kalyana-Karnataka Region only – Should contain RD Number 

Candidates claiming Kalyana-Karnataka Region Reservation [Article 371 (j)] must obtain the certificate issued by the concerned Assistant 

Commissioner. 

Parent’s study certificate/Parent’s Hometown certificate/Parent’s Domicile certificate/Parent’s Employment certificate/Parent’s Cumulative Record/Parent’s Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the domicile/study/employment of the parent.

Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses C and D.

IDENTITY CARD issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate/Rehabilitation Commissioner, for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Jammu & Kashmiri Migrants quota

Special Category Certificates / formats – as per the claims and eligibility in a particular special category like NCC, Sports, Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF, Ex-CAPF, AGL, Scouts & Guides

Religious Minority: With RD Number (for Medical and Dental only) 

  • Religious Minority (Christian) of Karnataka Candidates & Non-Karnataka. 
  • Religious Minority (Muslim) of Karnataka Candidates & Non- Karnataka. Although, all religious minority candidates of all the states are considered, priority will be given to Karnataka domiciled religious minority candidates who have studied in Karnataka for a period of Ten Years from 1st Standard to qualifying exam and passed SSLC/10th or 2nd PUC/12th from Karnataka state

Linguistic Minority: (for Medical and Dental only) 

  • Linguistic Minority reservation is applicable for Tamil, Telugu, Kodava & Tulu of Karnataka Candidates and domicile candidates only. 
  • He/she should have studied in Karnataka for a period of Ten Years from 1st Standard to qualifying exam and passed SSLC/10th or 2nd PUC / 12th from Karnataka state. 

How to Fill KCET Application Form 2026? 

Candidates can refer to the steps provided below to fill KCET 2026 application form. 

  • Visit the KCET official website at kea.kar.nic.in 2026.  
  • Click on the direct link to complete KCET registration 2026.  
  • Enter the personal details in the required fields.  
  • Login with application number and password to fill form. 
  • Enter educational qualification, communication address, exam centre preference and others in the required fields. 
  • Upload the required documents as per the specifications.

Last date to apply is February 17, 2026 and candidates can fill out the KCET application form at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

Q:   How will I know if I registered for KCET exam successfully?
A:

After successfully filling the KCET application form, applicants gets the confirmation mail on their registered ID. KEA also send the confirmation text on the registered number. Candidates looking for admission are advised to enter a valid mobile number and email ID at the time of KCET registration. Applicants are advised to keep the confirmation mail and text safe till the conclusion of the admission process.  

Q:   Can Maharashtra student fill KCET application form?
A:

Yes, Indian nationals can fill the KCET application form. Candidates from Maharashtra can fill the KCET 2026 application form at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Applicants need to fill their state domicile information at the time of filling out the KCET application form

Q:   How many courses can be selected in the KCET application form?
A:

KEA will commence the KCET registration 2026 online at its official website. Applicants looking for admissions to courses other than engineering have to fill a single form only. Candidates can fill multiple courses in a single KCET 2026 application form.

Q:   Will my KCET form be rejected if I mistakenly provide incorrect information?
A:

KEA will release the KCET application form 2026 at the official website. Candidates will have to fill all details in the KCET 2026 application form carefully. KEA will provide KCET 2026 application form correction facility after the conclusion of registration process. However, only few details will be allowed to edit in the form. In case of filling wrong details in the application form, there are chances of KCET form rejection.  

Q:   What is KCET application form correction date?
A:

Karnataka Examination Authority will commence the KCET application form facility after the conclusion of the exam at the official website. Applicants can make changes in the KCET application form in online mode. Candidates are allowed to make changes in certain fields only. Applicants are advised to cross-check all the details before submitting information. KEA do not entertain any request for change in KCET application form after the conclusion of correction facility.  

  • Pay the KCET application fee online.

Based on past year trends, Maths is generally considered difficult and time-consuming section to prepare for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test. Rest are easy to crack.
