Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2020) will be conducted on March 31. This is now a high time to pull up your socks and be more serious towards your goal. GUJCET is a comparatively easy exam but due to high competition among candidates, the merit of this exam goes high. This is the reason an aspirant needs to score as high as they can. If you have scored reasonably well then only it is possible to get admission to the branch of your choice.
GUJCET consist of three different domains, including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All the three subjects are equally important and neither of the subjects can be ignored. In this article, you will be suggested regarding the preparation tips that will help you to clear this exam.

GUJCET is an offline exam with three sections mentioned above that is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The following steps can play a significant role in your preparation.
- Stay focused: To achieve a goal it is always suggested to maintain focus. Do not get distracted from your target. Your goal should be the priority in your life and your mind. You will for sure achieve your target.
- Study plan is essential: You should know the syllabus and the exam pattern for GUJCET. As per the exam pattern and syllabus one should plan the study sessions. You need to fix a time for each subject as per your expertise on each subject.
- Concept clarity: It is suggested to understand the topic in every context. If concepts are not clear it would be difficult for an individual to move with your preparation. Prepare for the exam in such a way that you should be able to answer every question
- Prepare notes: Making your notes is an effective way of preparing for any competitive exam. The same goes for GUJCET, your notes give you a sense of ease and helps in efficiently revising the content. So one should be in habit of preparing notes while preparing for the exam. This will assist you in retaining the facts and figures more quickly.
- Practice is essential: One needs to solve a good number of papers of GUJCET. You can start with an easy level of questions and gradually you can switch over to difficult questions. Identify the difficult questions and repeat them later.JEE Main practice papers can also be used as both the exams have almost the same syllabus. Mock tests and practice of previous year questions will assist you in recognizing the weightage of different concepts and difficulty level of GUJCET.
Suggestions for Physics
You should be able to visualise the concept and that is only possible if you understand the concept well. Formulas must be retained in such a way that every formula must be on fingertips. A minimum of three hours should be fixed to solve MCQs and improve your speed to solve the MCQs. Important topics that need to be covered for the GUJCET Physics exam are as follows: Current electricity, Heat, and thermodynamics, electrostatics, magnetic effect of current and magnetism, a wave of optics, physics of nucleus, semiconductor electronics and atoms. As far as books are concerned "concepts of physics by HC Verma” can be referred and “Fundamental of physics by Halliday Walker and Resnick”
Suggestions For Chemistry
Try to make notes of all essential equations, formulas, and reactions and practice them regularly. Try to solve a reasonable number of questions for every topic. Do not break the regularity. Important topics of chemistry include chemical kinetics, chemical bonding, general organic chemistry, p block elements II, chemical equilibrium and coordination compounds. The important books are Physical chemistry by RC Mukherji and Organic Chemistry by Morison Boyd.
Suggestions For Mathematics
Do not try to mug up the steps to solve the questions. Try to understand the concept first and the same is applicable when you try to adopt the short cut method. Solve the questions daily. Important topics for Mathematics include the concept of vectors, probability, three-dimensional geometry, indefinite integration, definite integration, Permutation and combination, and complex numbers. Suggested books for Mathematics are as follows: Class XI and XII Mathematics by RS Aggarwal and Problems in Calculus of One Variable by IA Maron.
