GATE 2020 will be conducted across 200 test cities in India and 6 cities abroad. Here's all you need to to know about GATE 2020 exam centres.

GATE 2020 will be conducted by IIT Delhi on February 1, 2, 8 & 9 across 200 cities in India and 6 cities abroad. Candidates will be able to select the preferred GATE exam centre while filling the application form for GATE 2020. Online registrations for GATE 2020 will commence from September 3.

The exam conducting authority will also provide candidates with the opportunity to make changes in the GATE 2020 application form including the exam cities. Candidates who made mistakes while filing GATE application form or have selected the wrong exam centre, can edit the same through GATE application correction window.

There are a total of eight zonal centres for GATE exam including IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT, Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras and IISc Bangalore. Each of the zonal centre has exam cities under them. Candidates will be allowed to select three of the preferred GATE exam cities. Two of the three choices should be from one zone and the third one from a different zone.

General AI category students need to secure a rank of at least 22, or preferably lower for admission to MSc in Economics programme. For other categories, the highest acceptable rank is given below for the same course.

A rank of at least 175 is required in the General AI category in the last round to gain admission to the MSc in Physics course. Check the list below to know the highest acceptable rank for other categories for the aforementioned programme.

Yes, 20 might be an excellent rank for gaining admission to the IIT Delhi BDes course if you belong to the General or OBC AI category. For both these categories, the last round closing ranks were 28 and 32, respectively.

No, staying at the IIT Delhi hostel is not compulsory. Hostel accommodation is not offered to students staying within a 15km radius of the institute. There are 12 boys' hostels and 5 girls' hostels at the engineering institute.

Yes, air conditioning is available at IIT Delhi's new hostels. It is allotted based on availability. The institute charges INR 15,000 per semester for single occupancy and INR 7,500 for Double Occupancy.
