Make a proper table and segregate each topic wisely

Regulating systematic planning to score well in the exam is vital. After knowing the syllabus and question paper pattern well, candidates must divide their time effectively to ensure that they complete their syllabus on time and have enough time for revision.

Also, make sure to maintain a strict routine on daily basis and avoid random or weekend preparation sessions. Consistency is most important here. Divide sections as per the time in hand and plan study hours accordingly.

Start with the basics

If your basics are strong enough, studying each subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) will be easier and interesting. Understanding the basics of each topic is important to secure good marks in the entrance test. This will help you to know the principles behind questions asked in the test and solve questions involving these topics.

However, if the basics are not clear, then no matter how much effort one puts in, the result will always be theoretical and not meaningful learning.

Practice from previous years’ KEAM question papers

CEE Kerala has released KEAM question papers on its official website to help candidates with their preparation. Solving previous year papers will help candidates to know the question paper pattern over the years, most common questions asked in the entrance test, marking distribution from each of the sections of the question paper.

Best books for KEAM 2022

It is important to study correct books for KEAM preparation. The best way to start is to be thorough with the Class XI and XII books. For important books, candidates can check the sites which provide books. Students can take the help of the reference books but they should cover the syllabus. Candidates must look for the objective-type questions and practice regularly to get hold of the important topics and keep notes on such topics. Make a list of formulas, and frequently apply them to your questions.

Study daily and avoid last-minute preparation

Most of the candidates make this huge mistake of just studying for the entrance test at the last moment. This is a wrong approach, which later results in consequences. Once you are done planning to take the test, just ensure that you have a set timetable for everyday and then ensure that you meet your daily target of study.

Prepare short notes regularly

While preparing for the exam, make short notes on a regular basis. This will be helpful at the time of revision. Aspirants can write short forms, formulas or abbreviations so that they need not go through the entire syllabus again. This will also ensure that all the topics are covered and not even a single topic has to be compromised. The short notes should be crisp and in bulleted points as topics prepared in such a manner will be easier to notice and therefore convenient during revision.

Make revision compulsory

After completing each topic from the syllabus of KEAM 2022, candidates are advised to keep at least one month or two for revision. However, do not spend much time on it as it might impact your preparation. Revision at this stage should be quick and try to cover the syllabus with covering each chapter. Take help from the short notes that you made during preparation.

Take necessary breaks

It is not a very good idea to pressurize yourself during preparation. Include stress busters whenever you feel burdened. Watch your favorite television show, watch a movie, play your favorite instrument or play indoor or outdoor games. Always remember, stress will never gain marks in the exam, so better try avoiding it.

Last week is crucial

Stay positive and confident In the last lap of preparation. Avoid taking any new topics from any subject. This will create chaos and further confusion. Rather, candidates are advised to dedicate the time in revising the units, topics and that they have already studied so far. In the last week, candidates should be determined and very subjective in terms of the syllabus to be revised. You should study only those topics, which are weak, and needs improvement.

Take breaks whenever necessary

It is important to keep a positive mind before the exam. Do not stress yourself with negative emotion, as stress and panic will not bring a good outcome. Enter the exam hall with a positive mind that you have prepared well and give your best shot.
