Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) admits aspirants to the BE/ BTech/ BArch courses through the counselling. The admission to these courses is made only through three online off-campus counselling.
To appear in the HSTES 2020 counselling, first, the aspirants have to fill HSTES application form. After that, the shortlisted aspirants can participate in the counselling. Aspirants should go through the information brochure to get detailed information about the counselling schedule and procedure.

The seats of BE/BTech courses in all Government/Private universities and colleges will be filled 15% against rest of Haryana quota (excluding Haryana State) up to second online counselling. After second online counselling, all the vacant seats will be merged in General category for all the candidates including Haryana, in subsequent online counselling. After third counselling, no online counselling will be conducted by HSTES and admission shall be made at institute level counselling.

How to participate in HSTES 2020 Counselling?
First, the aspirants have to deposit the counselling fee of Rs 500/- by visiting the official website. To pay the counselling fee, click on “Payment Registration” / generate your Roll number and pay the fee by generating E-challan or through credit card, debit card or net banking. Further, check the steps for HSTES counselling 2020 below.
- Visit the official website to participate in the online counselling
- Check the general information about institutions profile, cut off ranks, latest schedules of counselling etc.
- Click on “New Registration” link and fill the details such as course, roll number, application number, name, date of birth (as per JEE Main for BE/BTech and JEE Main Paper 2/NATA for BArch or details provided by HSTES)
- After filling all the details, the registration page will open in a new window
- Fill gender (Male/Female)
- Eligible for Haryana domicile
- Caste category
- Sub-category
- Details of Physically handicapped (if applicable)
- Education qualification
- Name of school/college of the qualifying examination
- Type of school/college
- Location of school/college
- Parental annual income
- Password and re-enter password
- Security questions and answers
- Address details (City/Town, Home District, Pin code)
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Aadhar Number (Enrolment number in case Aadhaar is not available)
- Bank name
- Bank account number
- IFSC code of bank account
- After this, click on the “Submit” and the page will be redirected to “Registration Confirmation” page
- After the registration confirmation, the details can’t be changed or edited
- Then aspirants can generate a user ID and password
- Login your account again and proceed for the choice filling
- Fill the choices by clicking on fill/modify choices
- To increase the chance of getting a seat, fill maximum choices
- After filling the choices, lock the finally filled choices
- Seat allotment result will be released as per the schedule
Procedure for 3rd centralized online off-campus counselling
- Only registered candidates can take part in HSTES third centralized online off-campus counselling, after verification of documents at designated verification centres
- First preference will be given to the candidates who have appeared in the JEE Main and after that, the preference will be given to candidates based on the merit of the qualifying examination
- Take the printout of the filled-in application form and reach to the designated centres for the verification
- Merit will be prepared for the registered candidates to participate in third online off-campus counselling
Important Points related to HSTES Online Counselling 2020
- For withdrawal of the admission fee, submit the request in the concerned institution before the last date of admissions
- If a candidate gets a new seat in the subsequent counselling then the earlier allotted seat stand cancelled automatically
- If candidates upgrades to a new discipline in the same institution then they have to report again to the institution
- If candidates upgrades to a new institution then they have to report again to the institution and deposit first-semester fee along with document verification and submit a fee withdrawal request in the last institution
