KCET Rank Calculation and Weightage
For Engineering courses, the rank is determined using a 50:50 weightage formula. KEA combines:
- 50% weightage from marks obtained by candidates in the KCET entrance exam.
- 50% weightage from 2nd PUC (Class 12) theory marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- If 12th-grade marks (for CBSE/ICSE students) is not available during initial processing, the rank may be marked as "Withheld". Students will have to upload their marksheet on official KEA portal once the link for mark entry is activated.
