How Will the Plus Two Marks be Used for KEAM Rank List 2025 Preparation?

To prepare the KEAM rank list for engineering admission, an equal weightage of 50:50 shall be given to the normalised score obtained in the KEAM 2025 Entrance Examination for Engineering and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for the applicable subjects, put together, after effecting the standardisation procedure.

The following steps will be taken to prepare the KEAM 2025 rank list:

Step 1: KEAM 2025 normalised scores

The normalised score obtained by the candidate in the KEAM 2025 engineering examination shall be computed out of 300.

Step 2: Standardisation of 10+2 scores

The final year marks of the qualifying examination of each subject - Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology of the students who have passed the subject, received from the respective Boards, shall be transformed out of 100. The marks of the three subjects shall be computed out of 300 after effecting standardisation in each subject.  The marks secured by a student in the qualifying examination from any Board will be standardised with respect to statistical parameters such as Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation.

KEAM standardisation formula of 10+2 marks

KEAM standardisation formula of 10+2 marks

Step 3: Preparation of KEAM Rank List 2025

The normalised score obtained by the candidate in KEAM shall be computed out of 300, and added to the total standardised marks of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Biology, as the case may be, of the class 12 examination, computed out of 300, both corrected to four places of decimals.

The rank list for Engineering courses shall be prepared based on the total marks obtained out of an Index mark of 600.

KEAM 2025 Marks Entry Link Important Instructions

Check some important instructions from CEE regarding the plus two marks entry:

All candidates should submit their Class 12 marks to be included in the KEAM rank list.

  • If any Board/Authority provides results by letter grades/CGPA/OGPA, etc., the candidate concerned has to submit the marks equivalent as required, from the Board/Authority concerned. If a candidate fails to do so, then the decision on standardisation of marks will be taken based on the available information by the Committee of Statisticians constituted, which shall be final and binding on the applicant.
  • If any Board/Authority fails to provide data required for the process of standardisation for any year, the mean and standard deviation available for the nearest year after the year of passing of the candidate for the concerned Board/Authority shall be considered for standardisation of marks. Such a decision shall be final and binding on the applicant.
  • If any Board or Authority does not provide the requested data needed for standardisation, and if data from the years following the candidate's graduation is also unavailable, then we will use the average and standard deviation from the CBSE for the available years. Even if this data missing then we will use the average and standard deviation from the nearest year after candidate is graduated. This will be the final decision and binding for the applicants.

To secure a high score, start your KEAM preparation at least 8 months before the exam, ideally at the beginning of Class 12, focusing on mastering Class 11 & 12 NCERT concepts, followed by intensive mock tests and previous year question practice.
