If a student chooses to take a remotely proctored exam from the comfort of their home, they will input the exam's date and time into the interface. Subsequently, the candidate will receive an email containing guidelines and details about the exam schedule. The remotely proctored exam will be actively monitored using various Artificial Intelligence tools and overseen by invigilators. If devices are unavailable, the candidate should opt for a Test centre-based exam. The LPU NEST exam day guidelines are given below.
LPU NEST 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: Online Remotely Proctored LPU NEST exam from Home
- The LPUNEST exam can be conveniently taken at home, with proctors ensuring the integrity of the process. To participate in the exam from home, certain infrastructure requirements must be met:
- Two devices are essential for the remotely proctored exam: a primary device (Laptop/Desktop - Windows/Linux/Mac) with a functional webcam and microphone, and a secondary device (iOS/Android smartphone) acting as a supplementary perspective. Both devices are mandatory; the exam cannot be taken with only one device. The candidate must ensure the functionality of both their Laptop/Desktop and mobile device. Confirm that the camera and microphone of the system are functioning properly.
- A dedicated room with appropriate lighting and no external disturbances is necessary. The student should be seated against a wall for the background.
- Candidates must have their identity proof ready during the test.
- The candidates must keep a water bottle on their table before the start of the exam, as leaving the test screen during the exam is not allowed.
- Throughout the entire test duration, the candidate will be continuously monitored using artificial intelligence tools and by proctors through live observation. Any suspected activity will result in immediate termination of the exam. The AI tools are equipped to identify facial and eyeball movements automatically. The candidate will be consistently monitored by a proctor via live feed to prevent any dubious activities. Audio and video streams will be recorded and subsequently analysed after the examination.
LPU NEST 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: Test Centre-Based Exam
- Candidates are required to reach the test centre at the reporting time specified in the Hall Ticket. Before the commencement of the actual test, there will be a pre-test process that involves registration and on-site orientation.
- A picture of the candidate will be taken at the test centre for verification purposes.
- Applicants should verify that the assigned computer is powered on, and any issues with the computer should be promptly communicated to the invigilator.
