Shiksha Opinion: JEE helpline- “The number you are calling does not exist”
Finally, once an official took our call and when we asked him about admit card details, he very rudely told us to check the official website. When we said we have been tracking that, he went on to say that “information jab aayegi wahan hi aayegi”. This got us thinking that if we, as journalists were not able to get through the helplines and get required information then how difficult would it be for JEE aspirants.
When we spoke to some JEE aspirants about this, they revealed that they see no point in calling the official helpline because the response is mostly bad. Students do not get the information that they seek; instead, they are bluntly scolded for being nosey.

After this we went on to read few forums such as JEE main preparation, IIT JEE 2014 , IIT JEE community, JEE main 2014 and found out that this dearth of information has led students to try and look for information among themselves on social forums. We cannot help but feel sorry for these students. As it is, they are under tremendous performance pressure due to their boards as well as JEE and the least we can do is give them this clarity as to how, what, when and where the exam is to be conducted and what they should expect when they head out to sit for the exam.
With JEE Mains 2014 a day away, we know students want to be doubly sure about the exam details. So, for all JEE aspirants Shiksha.com has been listing out all the information we have been able to source out. Go through the below mentioned links to find the information you are seeking:
