TNEA Supplementary Counselling Seat Allotment Result 2026
Based on choices, seats available, ranks and other factors, the TNEA 2026 seat allotment result of the supplementary counselling is released. All the candidates who are satisfied with the currently allotted seat and have opted for “Accept and Upward” will be given tentative allotment order. They must report to the nearest TFCwithin the date given in the allotment order and pay the tuition fees and submit their original certificates for holding the current seat. Non reporting and nonpayment of fees, will be considered as not willing to join and the allotment order will be cancelled. Such candidates will lose allotted seat and will not be considered for further rounds in counselling. In case no better choice is available in upward movement, then the candidate is confirmed with the previously allotted choice as they have paid the necessary fee in the TFC.

The following candidates are considered as native of Tamil Nadu state:
- Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed their Class VIII to Class XII standard in Tamil Nadu.
- Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years at the time of TNEA application form submission.
- Sons/daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions who at the time of TNEA 2025 application form submission had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible to apply, irrespective of their domicile.
- Other state candidates who have studied from Class VIII to Class XII in Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA 2025.
- Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standards or their equivalent examinations from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA.
TNEA 2026 Supplementary Counselling Eligibility - Who Can Apply
Since the supplementary round is conducted to fill vacant seats, eligibility and participation rules may differ from the regular counselling rounds. Check who can apply for TNEA supplementary counselling below:
- Candidates who missed participating in the initial general counselling rounds.
- Candidates who registered earlier but did not secure any seat during previous rounds.
