However, one thing that most of the students are still confused about is the VITEEE eligibility criteria regarding the qualifying marks. Many students have stated their query asking if 50% in Maths/Biology is mandatory or not. To this, the answer is simply yes. Students need to have an aggregate PCM/PCB percentage of 60% along with 50% qualifying marks in Maths/Biology.

VITEEE Admission 2026 Eligibility
As per the VIT 2026 exam eligibility, candidates need to have the following qualifying percentage -

Candidates willing to apply for VITEEE UG programmes must have secured a minimum of 60% in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry

Qualifying marks must not be less than 50% in mathematics (+2/HSC/Intermediate)

Must have 60% in Biology/ Chemistry/Physics with no less than 50% marks in Biology

Do VIT accept Improvement Marksheet during Verification Round?
If your current aggregate mark falls short of the required qualifying percentage in VITEEE, and you have appeared for the improvement exam, and have scored better. Then VIT usually accepts improvement marksheets. However, you need to submit all original documents during physical document verification at VIT campus.

Overall, admission through VITEEE 2026 is done based on your rank and fulfillment of aggregate board percentage. In case, the results are delayed, then it is advised to contact VIT admission office and ask for advice. Commonly asked questions
Students allotted through the VITEEE counselling process cannot request to change their allotment. Since the allotment is done according to the student's rank and preference, the authorities will not accept any requests to make changes.
After the students are allotted seats, they will have to confirm their VITEEE admission. The tuition fee has to be paid and the students will have to report to their institute for document verification. The original documents and photocopies have to submitted for verification.
No, VIT does not offer re-checking, re-totalling or re-evaluation of VITEEE scores. The rank list prepared is final and will be considered for counselling process.
There is no attempt limit to appear for VITEEE exam. As long as you meet the eligibility criteria. However, VIT exam is conducted once a year on multiple dates, and applicants can write exam once in a year.

It will be difficult for him to get admission at VIT for CS with this rank, based on the previous year's cut-off trend. CSE seats there usually close at much lower ranks. You can check the category criteria through.
