Let’s understand VITEEE 2026 marking scheme
According to exam pattern of VITEEE exam, for each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded, and for an incorrect answer, -1 mark will be deducted. Hence, one can conclude here that accuracy is more important than number of attempts. One wrong guess, and it can pull your VITEEE score down. This revised change in VITEEE BTech entrance exam now makes it more aligned with other top entrance exams, such as JEE Mains.
Ideal Number of Questions to Attempt in VITEEE 2026
As such, there are no fixed ideal attempts for VITEEE entrance exam. It is better to answer those questions which you are confident. Start solving questions in real time to get the exam experience. Plan subject-wise attempt strategy. For example, VITEEE question paper comprises Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English, and Aptitude questions. Ensure that your attempt strategy varies with section.
| Sections |
Types of question and difficulty level |
Smart Strategy you can implement |
|---|---|---|
| Physics and Mathematics |
Questions are mostly concept-based and more formula-oriented |
Only attempt if you are sure of the basics and formula. Do not spend too much time on one question. Skip lengthy and time-confusing numeric questions. |
| Chemistry |
Mostly direct questions |
Dedicate 30 to 40 minutes to complete chemistry section. Focus on NCERT problems. Memory-based questions are safer than conceptual guesses. |

The percentage of your tuition fee refunded depends entirely on when you submit the withdrawal request. The final dates or full and partial tuition fee refund are inclined to the official commencement of the classes, which usually starts in July.
