B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Colleges in India 2026: Admissions, Courses, Fees, Placements

 BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. BIHER offers BTech course in 16 specialisations, namely Aeronautical, Aerospace, Automobile, Civil, Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial Biotechnology, Mechatronics Engineering, etc. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for the BTech course. Candidates must pass Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate in PCM/ Biology for Bioengineering department. Apart from the regular four-year BTech course, Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research provides lateral entry. BTech (LE) is also available in various specialisations, namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, etc. However, one can also apply for lateral entry after completing the Diploma course. 

Government College, Amravati MHT CET cutoff 2025 was only released for the EWS category students belonging to the Home State quota. The cutoff was published in the form of opening and closing percentiles for admission to the B.Tech. course specialisations. 

For this category, the overall cutoff ranged from 65.52 to 95.72. According to the last round, the most competitive engineering branch was BTech CSE, followed by the BTech in Information Technology. AIT Bangalore (AIT) admissions 2024 are entrance based. Candidates who wish to take admission to AIT BTech proramme must appear for the entrance examination. The College does not offer direct admission to candidates in any of the programmes. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BTech programme must appear for either KCET or COMEDK and qualify the eligiblity criteria.

Students must meet the eligibility criteria for ADTU BTech CSE (DS and AI) admission. Candidates with a three-year Diploma in relevant branch can apply. The candidates with a BSc degree, Class 12 done with Mathematics as a compulsory subject are also eligible to apply for course admission.

St. Francis Institute of Technology is an Tier 2 engineering college. This one boasts quality and infrastructure in education. However, it definitely does not come anywhere close to the IITs or the NITs, which are as good as it gets. SFIT is an excellent place to learn if one values quality education within the frame work of infrastructure and industry relationships. For students hailing from Mumbai, it is a good option. However, it usually does not offer the same national profiles or cut-offs as the best institutions, which classifies it in the Tier 2 category.

The cutoff marks for the KEAM R3 seat allotment for 2023 have been released and can be found on the college's website. The cutoff marks for previous years are also available on various websites such as Shiksha, etc.

In order to get admission to BTech at MCKVIE, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with 45% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Technical Vocational subjects (in both theory and practical) (40% aggregate for reserved category). Further, a 30% aggregate is also required in English from a recognised board. As per the next step, aspirants need to qualify for either JEE Main or WBJEE with a valid score.
