Yes, if you belong to any of the reserved categories, almost every college gives some sort of relaxation in marks during the admission process for the BTech Engineering Physics course. The relaxation is usually 5% marks. For example, if general category students need 50% marks to be eligible for admission, you need to get 45% marks. Yes, NIT Agartala is a good college. National Institute of Technology Agartala has been ranked by the NIRF 2025 under the Engineering category at the 101-150 position. The Government of India converted the Tripura Engineering College to NIT Agartala in 2006. NIT Agartala ROI is quite good. The placements are also decent. 

While comparing IIIT Trichy and IIIT Kancheepuram the decision will be a subjective one.
