MHT CET Exam Dates 2027: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has not announced the MHT CET exam dates 2027 yet. However, according to recent media reports, the Maharashtra government has decided to conduct both attempts of MHT CET 2027 after the class 12 board examinations. The two attempts are likely to be held between March and May 2027. Earlier, the state had planned to conduct the first attempt in December 2026 and the second attempt in April 2027. However, the schedule was reconsidered following feedback from students, parents and education counsellors who raised concerns about conducting the entrance examination close to the Class 12 board exams.

MHT CET 2027: Why Have the Exam Dates Been Changed?

The Maharashtra government had initially planned to conduct the first attempt of MHT CET 2027 in December 2026, followed by the second attempt in April 2027. However, the proposed schedule received feedback from parents, students and education counsellors across the state. Several stakeholders, including parents and counsellors, raised concerns that conducting the first attempt in December would leave students with limited time to prepare for their Class 12 board examinations. Following these concerns, the higher and technical education department decided to shift both attempts to the period between March and May 2027. This will allow candidates to focus on their board examinations before appearing for the state-level entrance test.

MHT CET 2027 to Be Conducted Twice

The Maharashtra CET Cell introduced the two-attempt system for MHT CET from the 2026 examination cycle. The decision was taken to provide candidates with another opportunity to improve their scores and align the state entrance examination with national-level entrance tests such as JEE Main. Under the two-attempt system, candidates can appear for both sessions of the examination. The higher score obtained in the two attempts will be considered for admission.

When Will MHT CET 2027 Registration Start?

When Will MHT CET 2027 Admit Card Be Released?
