RRB Group D cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. RRB Group D cut off is released in PDF form and comprises the category-wise cut off marks. There are no sectional cut off marks in the exam. The examination authority releases overall cut off marks for the exam. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are selected for the exam. RRB Group D cut off marks are calculated out of 100 marks. There are various factors based on which the cut off marks are calculated. These factors are number of vacancies, difficulty level of the exam and number of test takers. RRB Group D cut off is calculated after the normalisation of marks.

Percentile-based normalisation of marks has been done to calculate the RRB Group D cut off. In Percentile-based normalisation, the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift of examinees. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candiates that have scored equal to or below that particular percentile in that examination. The percentile score of each candidate is converted into normalised marks by interpolation of raw marks into base shift to decide the RRB Group D cut off marks.
There are two types of RRB Group D cut off. One is qualifying cut off and the other being the overall cut off. Candidates are required to secure both the cut off marks in order to qualify the exam. RRB Group D cut off is decided by the examination authority to select candidates for the next round of selection process.
RRB Group D Result 2025
RRB Group D result is announced in PDF form. The result comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates. They need to secure the qualifying marks in the exam. Those qualifying the CBT exam are called for PET. This stage is qualifying in nature. The final merit list is prepared based on the CBT subject to qualifying the PET, document verification and medical exam.

RRB Group D result is usually announced within few days after the exam is held. The result is announced region-wise on the official websites of RRBs. The roll numbers of qualified candidates are made available in PDF form. The hard copy of the result is not sent to candidates by post.
Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all candidates who appear for the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in that examination. Therefore, the topper (the highest score) of each shift get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. In percentitle-based normalisation, the marks obtained between the highest and the lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles. In case of two or more candidates secure same normalised percentile score, their merit position is determined by age criteria.
RRB Group D Salary
RRB Group D salary after 7th pay commission ranges between INR 3 to 5 lakh per annum. The basic RRB Group D salary is INR 18000. The in-hand salary is INR 22,000-25,000 per month Besides candidates are also entitled to various perks and allowances.

Yes, there are qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam. The qualifying marks for your and EWS categories are 40 and 30 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, and ST. RRB Group D salary after 10 years increases upto INR 25,000 depending upon various factors. Candidates' salary is revised on the basis of 39 per cent DA allowances and the salary after five years jumps to INR 15,000 at least, depending on their pay band and the city they are posted in. Intially, the salary package of RRB Group D ranges between INR 3 to 5 lakh. Candidates also get various perks and allowances as a part of RRB Group D salary.
Indian Railways give HRA to the selected candidates depending on the job location. The HRA is calculated based on the category of cities employees are posted. The HRA is calculated in the following manner.

After document verification in RRB Group D exam, candidates are called for a medical test. It is mandatory to clear the medical test to be considered for the recruitment exam. The medical fitness test is conducted by the railway administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post. The near vision should be Sn/ 0.6, 0.6 without glasses and must pass tests for color vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc. Distant vision should be 6 / 9, 6 / 9 with or without glasses (power of lenses should not exceed 2D).
Candidates selected through RRB Group D exam get in hand salary in the range of INR 25,000 to 27,000 as per the 7th pay commission. Besides getting the RRB Group D in hand salary, candidates are also entitled to various perks and allowances. The basic RRB Group D salary is INR 18,000. The basic pay of RRB Group D employees is INR 18,000 as per the Seventh pay matrix. Candidates are also offered HRA, DA, travel allowances, etc. The salary ranges between INR 25,560 to 27,920.
