The Mumbai University allocate scholarships to the students pursuing courses from the University. The scholarships are extended to the students in need, meritorious students, etc. The aim is to provide education despite of the financial constraints/limitations. The University of Mumbai offers various courses for the students to choose from. One of the offered courses is the BA course with different specialisation/major subjects. University of Mumbai course fee is the sum of various components, which are either one-time chargeable or have to be paid annually/semesterly. MU BA tuition fees range between INR 2,400 and INR 14.6 lakh. This fee range has the tuition fee for BA and integrated BA courses. IDOL University Mumbai gives scholarships for UG/PG students who are greatly interested in doing or completing a BA degree. The University has established seat reservation policies as given by the Indian government & also gives scholarships for candidates in several reserved categories. The seat reservation policy is set basis the category of the students like General, OBC, SC/ST, PWD, etc., and the seat availability. Students from SC/ST categories can also apply for the RAJIV GANDHI NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP SCHEME (RGNFS) sponsored by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme at IDOL University has a duration of three years. The mode of education for this programme is distance/correspondence. Interested students can check the eligibility criteria for applying. The BA programme is divided into six semesters spread over three years. The University offers numerous specialisations for the BA course at the undergraduate level. The curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter and includes practical learning and industry exposure.

According to the NIRF Ranking 2024, Mumbai University is at 61 position among the top Universities in India. University of Mumbai offers more than 200 Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, Doctoral, and Certificate programmes in Engineering, Arts, Science, Management, Law, etc. Mumbai University also provides distance learning programmes through its Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL Mumbai University), in addition to its full-time and part-time courses.

GICED offers various courses such as PG Diploma, B.Sc, diploma, BMS, BA, MA and B Des etc. All the courses offered by GICED are ranked significantly by the students but the Bachelor of Design course and post graduate Diploma are the highest rated courses and ranked on top by the students.

MBA admission is done through SMAT exam and Bsc is 45 percent in 12th as a minimum criteria.

 The University of Mumbai (MU) releases multiple merit lists every year followed by a counselling and document verification process to offer admission to students in MU-affiliated colleges. Mumbai University merit list are released for admission to more than 750 affiliated colleges in programmes such as FYBA, FYBSWA, FYBCom, FYBSc, FYBMS, FYBVoc, FYB Library Science and FYBPA. These merit lists University carries the names of students who are shortlisted on the basis of marks they have obtained in their last qualifying examinations.
