NIMCET is a national-level entrance test for admission to MCA programs offered by 11 NITs and 2 IIITs across India. The exam is going to be tentatively conducted in June 2026 as an online test at various exam centres.
Registration dates for the NIMCET exam 2026 will be shortly announced on nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Fee payment is to be done online through net banking, credit card, or debit card. The online application process includes registration, filling in the application form, uploading scanned documents, and paying application fees. NIMCET 2026 Application Correction

The NIMCET application form edit window will be available at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. The Edit Window usually opens 2-3 days after the last day to fill the application form. Registered candidates who want to make changes in their application form can log in using their credentials and make the required corrections. Please note that candidates can make the changes in the form only in the given edit window for NIMCET 2026 and after that no requests will be entertained to make corrections.

Candidates must check the required information carefully and take the required action. The correction facility is a one-time process, hence the candidates must be very careful while making the corrections.

Q:   What if I forget my login credentials for NIMCET?
A: 

Candidates will have to visit the official NIMCET official portal and visit the tab ‘Student Login’. There, they have to click ‘Forgot Password’ which will enable them to generate a new password.

Q:   Can I apply for the MAH MCA CET in offline mode?
A: 

No, you can't. The application form for MAH MCA CET 2026 will only be available online. The MAH MCA CET application form for  2026 will be released tentatively in the first week of January 2026 on the website. Keep checking the website regularly so that you do not miss out on any updates.

Steps to fill out the NIMCET 2026 application form

Follow the steps below to fill the NIMCET application form: 

  • Open the official website nimcet.admissions.nic.in
  • Click the NIMCET exam registration link. A new page will open.
  • Download the application form.
  • Fill in your details, Name, Gender, Date of birth, Email ID, and your contact details to register. The details mentioned on the registration form must match the information on your official documents.
  • Your application number will be generated. You will be prompted to create a secure password.
  • Please fill in your personal and academic details, as well as your contact information. 
  • Select your preferred exam centre.
  • Upload your scanned photograph and signature.

No. You cannot manually convert CGPA to percentage or vice-versa to qualify. If your university uses a 10-point scale, a 6.5 CGPA is the minimum requirement for General/OBC candidates.

Here is how you can determine if your NIMCET score is good -

Score Possible Rank What This Means 
360+Top 100Excellent: You can likely pick any top NIT you want, like the popular ones in Trichy or Warangal.
300 - 359101 - 500Very Good: You have a high chance of getting into a strong NIT.
240 - 299501 - 1500Good Goal: You can likely secure a spot in a mid-tier NIT.
Below 120Low ChancesDifficult: Getting a seat at any NIT is very unlikely with this score.
