The registration dates for the NIMCET exam 2026 is announced on its official website nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria can fill the application form of NIMCET 2026 till May 1, 2026. While filling the application form, students will have to enter their details, uploading scanned documents, and paying application fees. How to Apply for NIMCET 2026?
Follow the steps below to fill the NIMCET application form:
- Open the official website nimcet.admissions.nic.in
- Click the NIMCET exam registration link. A new page will open.
- Download the application form.
- Fill in your details, Name, Gender, Date of birth, Email ID, and your contact details to register. The details mentioned on the registration form must match the information on your official documents.
- Your application number will be generated. You will be prompted to create a secure password.
- Please fill in your personal and academic details, as well as your contact information.
- Select your preferred exam centre.
- Upload your scanned photograph and signature.

Educational Qualifications
- Any UG program of a minimum 3 years with Mathematics/Statistics
OR - B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognised University/Institute
Minimum Marks
- General category: At least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale
- SC/ST/PwD: 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale
Mandatory Subject: Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects.
Nationality: Must be an Indian national.
Students from open universities with a minimum three-year Bachelor's degree with Mathematics/Statistics (B.Sc. Statistics) as a subject, approved by UGC/AICTE and DEC, are also eligible to apply.

The time-period required to complete the NIMCET preparation depends on students. Every student has their own pace of study. Ideally, 3-4 month is good enough for completing the NIMCET preparation. Students who have started preparing during their BCA can easily prepare for NIMCET in 4 months considering the topics of exam syllabus have already been studied in BCA.
NIMCET preparation is most effective with BCA as almost 90-95 percent topics are similar in both exams. This way students can easily complete the entire NIMCET syllabus as well as syllabus of BCA. After the graduation exams, students get 2-3 month where they can focus entirely on NIMCET.
Students who have started late for the NIMCET exam can make a 6-month plan where in the first three months they have to focus on revising the syllabus studied in BCA. In the next two months’ focus on solving questions of NIMCET and analyzing the mistakes being made, if any. The last one month should be focused on solving mock tests and NIMCET previous year question papers.
