Bar Council of India activated the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 22 registration link on August 19. The candidates can fill the AIBE 22 application form till October 30. All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 22 exam 2026 registrations started on the official exam portal of the Bar Council of India(BCI) on August 19. The AIBE 22 registrations will be available till October 30. The BCI will conduct the AIBE 22 on November 29. Candidates can see here the details about AIBE 22 and associated components for the exam, such as AIBE registration, admit card, previous-year question papers, answer keys, results, and Certificate of Practice dates.

AIBE 22 Exam 2026: The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 22 will be conducted nationwide on November 29 in offline mode. AIBE 22 will be conducted to test the eligibility of the candidate to work as a Lawyer in the courts of Law in India. Candidates who qualify in AIBE 22 will get the Certificate of Practice (CoP) after verification of their details. This CoP will be verified by the State Bar Council to provide permanent status to the candidate.

The AIBE 22 registrations were started on August 19. The candidates are required to fill all their academic and professional details in the registration form. The last date to register for the All India Bar Examination is October 30.

What's New in AIBE 22?

Bar Council has made certain changes in the AIBE eligibility 2026 as given below:

  • Candidates should note that the Bar Council of India has removed the mandatory State Bar Council Registration Enrollment Number from the eligibility criteria. Now, candidates who are in their final year of the LLB course can apply and appear in AIBE 22, provided they don't have any backlog of papers. 
  • Candidates who are not enrolled in the State Bar Council can also register for AIBE.

Such candidates need to select the appropriate entry in the AIBE registration form. In addition to that, they will be required to download the AIBE undertaking form, sign it, scan it and upload it with the AIBE application form.

The Bar Council of India will release the AIBE 22 admit card 2026 by November 14. Read further to know more about AIBE Exam Dates, application process, events, eligibility, syllabus and other details.

Q:   Can the AIBE Applications filled offline?
A: 

No, there was no provision to fill the AIBE Application Form in offline mode. Candidates had to visit the official portal, i.e. allindiabarexamination.com to complete the AIBE Registration. 

Q:   What should I carry to the AIBE exam centre?
A: 

Students appearing for the AIBE exam must carry a coloured copy of the AIBE admit card. They must paste a recent coloured passport size photograph on the admit card. They must also carry a blue or black ball point pen to the exam centre. They must not carry any other stationery item to the AIBE test centre.

No other item such as bags, watches, food, etc. will be allowed inside the AIBE exam centre. They must also not carry notes or rough paper to the AIBE exam centre. If anyone is found with a prohibited item, he or she will be disqualified.

Q:   What is AIBE Exam Pattern?
A: 

The AIBE will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode. The exam is held for three hours thirty minutes. There will be 100 MCQs. Candidates must note that the question paper is from 19 subjects and there is no negative marking. 

Q:   Is there any provision for conducting the AIBE exam twice in a year?
A: 

From this year onwards, AIBE Exam will be conducted twice a year. Candidates must note that there is no age gap and also no limitation on number of attempts.

AIBE 22 Eligibility Criteria 2026

Qualifying exam

 

Candidates who have passed or are in the final year of a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree (with no backlogs) are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam. Therefore, the academic qualifying exam for AIBE candidates is 

  1. 3-year LLB degree, OR
  2. 5-year integrated LLB degree

Note: Final year students can also apply if they don't have any backlog. 

Minimum marks in qualifying exam

The BCI mentions no minimum marks are required for appearing in the AIBE exam. However, a candidate must secure a minimum percentage or grades in their law degree as prescribed by universities for further education. 

Age limit for AIBE exam

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the All India Bar Examination. 

State Bar Council Registration/Enrollment 

 

Candidates who are not registered with their State Bar Council as an Advocate can also apply. State Bar Council enrollment is no longer mandatory for AIBE eligibility.

If you have topped while pursuing law there is still some chance. But if you were an average student who have not prepared even once for the exam, it is next to impossible to prepare for the exam in one month.

Q:   What is AIBE 22 Undertaking form 2026?
A: 

The candidates who are in their last year of Law Degree Course and the candidates who have passed the degree course but not registered in the State Bar Council will be required to submit the AIBE undertaking form with their application form. 

Q:   What happens if AIBE application is incomplete?
A: 

An incomplete AIBE application will cause disqualification from appearing in the exam. If you have not filled the form completely, your form will not be considered complete. 

Q:   Do I need coaching to prepare for AIBE Exam?
A: 

No candidates can actually prepare for AIBE Exam along with their class 12th exam. They just need to take out time to prepare for the entrance exam.

The BCI will publish the admit card for AIBE XXII 2026 on November 14, 2026. The AIBE Admit Card 2026 will not be sent by post.

AIBE 22 Result 2026

Candidates must note that both AIBE 22 scorecard will be released on the official portal. AIBE result will be released online in PDF format. The result/ scorecard of AIBE contains details like roll number and the qualifying status of candidates as PASS or FAIL. Qualified candidates will receive the Certificate of Practice.
