Important Governing Bodies in Constitutional Law for AIBE 21
To score well in this section, it is important to understand the basic constitutional bodies that make sure the country's democratic system works smoothly. Read ahead to know more:
Election Commission
A country is run by the government, which is for the people and by the people. To make sure that elections are fair, the EC looks after the whole process. Article 324 of the Constitution gives the right to the Election Commission to oversee elections. It is responsible for looking after and conducting elections for Parliament, State Legislatures, and the offices of the President and Vice President in India.
Union Public Service Commission
In charge of conducting competitive exams to find candidates for several central government jobs. It ensures fair conduct of a civil service selection procedure. The UPSC's composition and duties are outlined in Articles 315 through 323. Examine candidates for appointments to the Union's services.

State Public Service Commissions
The PSCs work on recruiting applicants for jobs in state government. Their duties are the same as those of UPSC.
Comptroller and Auditor General

Attorney General
The Attorney General serves as the Government of India's principal legal advisor. They advise different ministries, give legal assistance, and represent the government in court. The Attorney General's appointment and duties are described in Article 76.
Finance Commission
The Finance Commission allocates funds to the government and the states. The Finance Commission's establishment and operations are required by Article 280. The Finance Commission also suggests dividing taxes between the Union and the States and offers ways to increase the States' Consolidated Fund.
National Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes
The rights of SCs and STs are protected by these commissions. They work to improve marginalised populations, advance social justice, and end discrimination.
These commissions are established and their functions are listed in Articles 338 through 342. They participate in the planning process for the socioeconomic development of SCs and STs.
Advocate General
The highest legal counsel for a state government is the Advocate General. They support efficient governance, offer legal counsel, and represent the state in court. Since these constitutional organisations are the cornerstone of India's legal and administrative system, candidates for the AIBE Exam must comprehend them and their roles.
