As per the official NLU Delhi guidelines for filling up the application form, candidates must upload the photograph with white background and scanned signature having a maximum size 1 MB in the .jpg/.jpeg format. AILET 2026: Important Guidelines for Uploading Photograph and Signature
Following instructions should be referred before uploading the scanned photograph and signature other than the above mentioned guidelines:
- The passport size photograph uploaded should not have cap, goggles etc. (Spectacles are allowed).
- The face of the candidate should cover about 75% of the photograph.
- The photograph must clearly show the face of the candidate in the preview box/page.
- Image should be .jpg/jpeg/png format.
- The signature should be clear and without overwriting on a white paper sheet within a box 6x3 cms (width*height).
- Candidate signature should be clearly visible in the preview box/ page.
- Keep two identical photographs, in reserve, which may be used for pasting on the Admit Card at the time of Entrance Test/ Counselling/ Admission if required.
- The face of the individual must be clear and visible in the photo
- The image should be professional-looking
- There should not be red-eye in the photo

Guidelines for Submission of Online AILET 2026 Application Form (UG/PG)
Applicants may follow the following guidelines before filling the application form for Admission to AILET 2026:
- Applicants must ensure their AILET exam eligibility and fulfils all the conditions prescribed for admission to a particular program (BALLB, BCom LLB, LLM, PhD).
- Applicants must note that the fee paid for the AILET UG 2026 application shall not be refundable.
- An incomplete application form will be rejected by the scrutiny and examination cell.
- Name of the Candidate should be as given in Class X or equivalent certificate. If the name has several initials, leave one blank after each.
- Correct and activated mobile number and email address should be provided as it will be used for sending various notifications related to AILET 2026.
- Enter the name of your Father or Mother exactly as in your Class X or equivalent certificate.
- Fill in the date, month, and year of your birth as per the English calendar and as recorded in your Class X certificate.
- Select the correct option under the gender column and also under the categories section, such as SC, ST, OBC, General, EWS, Kashmiri Migrant, J & K Residents, Persons with disabilities, and Foreign Nationals. The category certificate will be verified during the admission/Counselling process.
- Candidates will have the option to choose any three centres in order of preference.
- Choose the nationality as INDIAN or FOREIGN from the drop-down menu in the AILET PG application form.
- Provide the correct contact details, type the complete address including the STATE, DISTRICT, CITY, and PIN CODE. Candidates must ensure to provide the correct Mobile Numbers of parents and the email address at which the SMS/communication will be sent.
- Fill in the qualifying examinations details and enter the Percentage (%)/ CGPA where appropriate.
- Upload the scanned Photograph & signature as per the guidelines, else it will be subject to rejection.
- The candidate will be solely responsible for all the consequences arising out of any error or omission in the Application Form.
- Before submission of the online application, check the details by clicking the VIEW SUBMITTED APPLICATION form option.
- Candidate will have the option to pay the application fee through any DEBIT/ CREDIT CARDs, /UPI, and Net Banking, etc. After successful payment of the application fee, candidates will receive an acknowledgement receipt, which should be saved for future reference.
- After the application form is successfully saved as a draft/ submitted, an application number is generated. Candidates will be required to note the application number.
AILET 2026 Application: List of Documents Required
The following list of documents will be required to be uploaded while filling out the AILET UG and AILET PG 2026 application form:
a. Photograph (Max Size: 1 MB)
b. Signature (Max Size: 1 MB)
c. BPL certificate issued by the competitive authority (if you belong to the BPL category) (Max Size: 2 MB)
d. Passport (if candidate belongs to a Foreign National category) (Max Size: 2 MB)
e. PWD Certificate (if candidate is claiming a reservation under the PWD Category) (Max Size: 2 MB)
