National Law University Delhi provides admission to its 5-year BA LLB and LLM programs through the AILET 2026 exam. The application window for the AILET 2026 closed on 13-Nov-2025, 11: 59 PM. However, the NLU Delhi will accept the fee payment and allow form correction until 14-Nov-2025, 8 AM. Candidates interested in getting admission to the BA LLB and LLM programs at NLU Delhi must apply for test within the deadline. Unlike other NLUs of India, NLU Delhi does not accept the CLAT scores for granting admissions. Once the AILET 2026 application window is closed, the examination cell will issue the AILET admit card 2026 to the registered candidates. AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the entrance exam, ensure that you fall within the AILET eligibility criteria to avoid the cancellation of candidature at a later stage.
AILET BA LLB 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Refer to the AILET BA LLB Eligibility Criteria as provided below:
- Candidates applying for the exam must have passed class 12 exams with atleast 45% scores from a recognized institute.
- The relaxation of 5% is there is the qualifying exam for the SC/ST/PwD category candidates; therefore they must score a minimum 40% aggregate score in their class 12.
- However, OBC Category candidates must score a minimum of 42% in their class 12.
- Candidates should note that those who are appearing for their class 12 exams are also eligible to apply for the AILET exam.
- There is no age limit to take up the AILET exam.
AILET PG Eligibility Criteria 2026

- To apply for LLM program entrance exam, candidates must have attained their LLB degree or an equivalent law degree with a minimum 50% scores from a recognized institute.
- However, SC/ST/PwD category candidates must score a minimum 45% aggregate score in their LLB course.
- Candidates who are appearing for their final year/semester of their LLB program are also eligible to appear for the AILET exam.
- There is no age limit to take up the AILET exam.
AILET PhD Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates aspiring to sit for AILET PhD entrance exam can refer eligibility criteria below:
- LLM program or an equivalent degree exam with a minimum 55% score from a recognized institute.
- SC/ST/PwD category candidates must score a minimum 50% aggregate score in their LLM program.

Once the AILET registration is over, candidates cannot change their exam centre. The exam centre choices can be modified online at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in during the AILET registration period. Candidates need to log in to their candidate account to change their exam centre preferences.

How to Register for AILET 2026
Follow the process mentioned below to apply for exam-
Online Registration
Candidates will have to fill in the AILET 2026 application form online by using the valid email ID and phone number.
Select the Law Course
While filling in the AILET application form is to select the course in which admission is sought (BA LLB or LLM).
Fill AILET 2026 Application Form
Once the information is entered, fill in the other details asked in the AILET examination form, including place of residence, preferred examination centres, etc.
Upload Documents
Now, candidates will have to upload the latest scanned photograph and scanned signatures in the required format.
Pay the Application Fee
Candidates will now have to pay the application fee submit the application form.

No. One cant change the AILET Exam centre once the application form is submitted online. Candidates have to choose options of exam centre while applying for the exam. The exam centre option is filled during the final registration for AILET. Candidates can declare maximum 3 options for exam centre. AILET will let candidates know about name and address of exam centre through the admit card. The admit card for AILET has to be carried to the exam centre else candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
AILET 2027 registration is expected to start from August 2027 on the official AILET portal - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The exam date for the All India Law Entrance Test will be released with a notification. The AILET 2027 application form will be released for admission to BA LLB and LLM courses.

Candidates should keep the following documents ready while applying for the AILET entrance exam-
- 10th/ 12th Marksheet and Certificates
- For LLM, Graduation mark sheet and certificate
- Passport size photo with white background (Size should be less than 1 MB, format .jpg/.jpeg)
