AILET 2026 exam notification has been published by the National Law University, Delhi. Candidates aspiring to get admission to BA LLB and LLM courses at NLU Delhi will have to apply for the AILET 2026 exam. Check here the fee structure for AILET application along with other important guidelines.

AILET Exam Fees 2026

Candidates who wish to take admission to the 5-year integrated LLB program & LLM programs at the NLU Delhi will have to appear for the AILET 2026 exam, which is scheduled to be held on December 14, 2025, 2 PM to 4 PM. The application window for the AILET exam was opened on August 07, 2025 on the NLU Delhi official website. Candidates will be able to register for the AILET exam until November 10, 2025. The AILET application will be filled out online, and once the fee is paid, candidates will receive the confirmation receipt on their portal. The NLU Delhi examination cell has revised the application fee this year.

The NLU Delhi has released the notification to apply for the AILET 2026 exam and the important dates for AILET are also announced. The candidates will have to fill in the application, pay the fee and upload necessary documents before the last date. The fee charged during the AILET application process 2026 is used to accommodate the examination and its registration charges. The fee paid by the candidates is used to maintain and cover the cost of infrastructure to be used for the smooth conduct of the exam, administering the exam, and processing the applications.

Each group/ category of candidates have a different structure of application fee so that no group is deprived to sit for the exam.

AILET 2026: Fee Structure

Refer to the table given below to check the AILET Registration Fee 2026 for different category/class of candidates. The AILET 2025 fee structure has been revised and slashed down as compared to the previous year registration fee. Detailed explanation of AILET 2026 application fee is given below:

AILET 2025 General Category Fee Structure

The application fee for the General Category candidates is higher than the other categories to furnish the resources and accommodate the needs to conduct the exam. Candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay a sum of INR 3000 to register for the AILET 2026 exam.

 AILET 2025 PwD Category Fee Structure

Applicants belonging to the (Persons with Disability) PwD Category will have to make a payment of INR 1000 to register for the AILET exam 2026. The fee is comparatively less than the fee to be paid by the General category candidates to ensure that the accessibility of exam to each group. This concession ensures that aspirants with disabilities can appear in the exam without financial constraints.

AILET 2026 SC/ ST Category Fee Structure

The AILET fee structure for SC category candidates is INR 1000 while applying for the exam. This reduction in fee is to comply with the Government policies to promote education among the economicaly weaker section.

AILET 2026: BPL Fee Structure

The BPL category candidates belonging to the SC/ST Category and Wome are not required to pay the AILET application fee. This move is to encourage participation from the financially disadvantaged groups and provide them with opportunities for higher education in Law.

AILET 2026 Application Fee: Mode of Payment

The mode of AILET application fee payment is online and can be done by using any of the following means:

  • Debit/ Credit Cards
  • Netbanking
  • Using UPI IDs

Candidates can choose the payment mode flexible to them to apply for the exam and complete the AILET application form process 2026.

AILET 2026: Application Fee Confirmation         

The application fee once paid will get a unique transaction ID and the applicants will receive a confirmation message and receipt online. Candidates will be required to thoroughly check the receipt and save it for future references.

AILET 2026: Application Fee Refund Policy                

The AILET application fee 2026 is commonly non-refundable once payment is done and application form is submitted. However, in exceptional cases of technical problems or double payments due to a technical glitch, NLU Delhi may consider refunding the amount.

Refund Policy for University Fees

As per the latest notification by NLU Delhi, fee will be refunded in following cases:

1. The counselling fee is fully refunded if a candidate exits the admission process.
2. If the candidate proceeds with admission, the counselling fee is adjusted against the total payable fee.
3. In case of withdrawal of admission, the entire fee paid by the candidate, including the counselling fee, will be refunded in accordance with UGC guidelines issued from time to time

AILET 2026 Application Late Fee

NLU Delhi will open the application window with late fee for candidates who miss to apply within the AILET application deadline 2026. Applicants will be charged with higher amounts for submitting the late applications.

To avoid such situation, it is advised to fill the AILET application 2026 before the last date is over which is November 10, 2025.

AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the AILET exam 2926, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling out their registration form. The eligibility criteria for 5-year integrated LLB, LLM & PhD candidates has been provided below:

BA LLB/ BCom (AILET 2026 Eligibility)

10+2 exam with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)

LLM (AILET PG Eligibility)

3-year LLB or 5-year LLB with atleast 50% marks

PhD

LLM degree with minimum 55% scores from a recognized institute.

Candidates must note that there is no age limit to take up the AILET exam.
