AILET Exam Fees 2027

AILET 2027 Fees Structure: Candidates who wish to take admission to the 5-year integrated LLB program & LLM programs at the NLU Delhi will have to appear for the AILET 2027 exam, which is scheduled to be held on December 13, 2026. The application window for the AILET exam has started on August 07, 2026 on the NLU Delhi official website. Candidates must register for the AILET exam until the last date, which is November 10, 2026. The AILET application must be filled out online, and once fee is paid, students will receive confirmation receipt. Before registering for AILET exam 2027, know application fee structure. AILET 2027: Why Application Fee?

NLU Delhi will put out AILET 2027 notice and share main dates for the exam. Candidates will have to fill the form, pay the fee, and upload all the needed papers before the last date ends. Q:   Will Section A and Section B in the question paper of AILET LLM, be provided together?
A: 

Candidates must note that the AILET LLM 2027 Exam pattern was changed last year. The main subjects of AILET LLM 2027 question paper will be as under: Different branches of law (Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, Labour & Industrial Law).

The AILET 2027 LLM syllabus will have 100 MCQ questions pertaining to different areas of law. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt.

The marking scheme for AILET will be as under-

  • +1 mark each correct answer 
  • -0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt.

AILET 2027 General Category Fee Structure

The application fee for the General Category candidates is higher than the other categories to furnish the resources and accommodate the needs to conduct the exam. Candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay a sum of INR 3000 to register for the AILET 2027 exam.

 AILET 2027 PwD Category Fee Structure

Applicants belonging to the (Persons with Disability) PwD Category will have to make a payment of INR 1000 to register for the AILET exam 2027. The fee is comparatively less than the fee to be paid by the General category candidates to ensure that the accessibility of exam to each group. This concession ensures that aspirants with disabilities can appear in the exam without financial constraints.

AILET 2027 SC/ ST Category Fee Structure

The AILET fee structure for SC category candidates is INR 1000 while applying for the exam. This reduction in fee is to comply with the Government policies to promote education among the economicaly weaker section.

In the AILET GK & Current Affairs section, there are 30 questions are asked. Each question is of 1 mark. So, total marks can be scored from this section.

Q:   Which type of GK questions were asked in the previous year's AILET question paper?
A: 

In the last year's AILET question paper for UG course, GK questions were prominently related to static GK. The number of current affairs-related questions was lower. Questions were mainly related to law field and Economics. These questions were related to topics, such as Supreme Court of India, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). 
A large number of questions in the section were based on topics related to international relations, such as international alliances, agreements and G20 Summit. 

Other main topics covered in the GK section of the previous year's AILET question paper were awards, sports, geography of India and books and authors.

Yes, AILET exam have one section for Current affairs and General Knowledge. The section will be asked for 30 marks and students will be asked questions from Indian and international affairs, Current events, History,  Geography,  Politics,  Economics & General Science.

AILET 2027: BPL Fee Structure

The BPL category candidates belonging to the SC/ST Category and Wome are not required to pay the AILET application fee. This move is to encourage participation from the financially disadvantaged groups and provide them with opportunities for higher education in Law.

Q:   How many sections are there in AILET exam?

There are three sections in the AILET UG exam- English, GK & Current Affairs, and Legal Reasoning. AILET PG exam includes core law subjects.

Q:   How much time is given to solve AILET Question Paper?

Candidates get 120 minutes to solve AILET question paper. PWD students get 40 minutes extra (2 hours 40 minutes total). Candidates need to solve 150 MCQs. There is no sectional time limit.

Q:   How can I attempt every question in AILET 2027 exam?

Students will have to master every topic of AILET exam. For this, they need to practice many sample papers as well as mock tests. Students can increase their speed and accuracy through this approach.

AILET 2027: Application Fee Confirmation         

The application fee once paid will get a unique transaction ID and the applicants will receive a confirmation message and receipt online. Candidates will be required to thoroughly check the receipt and save it for future references.

AILET 2027: Application Fee Refund Policy                

The AILET 2027 application fee usually can’t be taken back once you pay and submit the form. Still, if there’s some technical issue or you end up paying twice by mistake, NLU Delhi might look into it and give the refund after checking the case.

Refund Policy for University Fees

As per the latest notification by NLU Delhi, fee will be refunded in following cases:

1. The counselling fee is fully refunded if a candidate exits the admission process.
2. If the candidate goes with the admission, the counselling fee is adjustable.
3. In case of candidates back out from the admission, the entire fee paid by the candidate will be refunded in accordance with UGC guidelines.

AILET 2027 Application Late Fee

NLU Delhi will open the application window with late fee for candidates who miss to apply within the AILET application deadline 2027. Applicants will be charged with higher amounts for submitting the late applications.

To avoid such situation, it is advised to fill the AILET application 2027 before the last date is over. 

AILET 2027 Eligibility Criteria

To give AILET exam 2027, you got to meet the eligibility rules before you start filling the form. The AILET eligibility criteria for BA LLB, LLM and PhD courses is shared down here. You must check it careful so you don’t miss any small thing. For the 5-year integrated LLB program, you need to pass your 10+2 exam with at least 45% marks, and if you’re from SC or ST category then 40% marks is fine. For AILET LLM eligibility, you should have done your 3-year or 5-year LLB degree with minimum 50% marks from any recognized college. The AILET PhD eligibility says you must hold an LLM degree with 55% marks or more. There is no age limit for AILET exam 2027, so anyone who meet the education part can apply.

BA LLB/ BCom (AILET 2027 Eligibility)

10+2 exam with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)

LLM (AILET PG Eligibility)

3-year LLB or 5-year LLB with atleast 50% marks

PhD

LLM degree with minimum 55% scores from a recognized institute.

Candidates must note that there is no age limit to take up the AILET exam.
