SLAT 2026 Merit List Evaluation Criteria
The positions or ranks of candidates in the SLAT merit lists 2026 will be calculated with the help of the criteria mentioned below:
- To prepare for the SLAT merit list, first the SLAT exam results are calculated. The weightage of the exam is 60, which is scaled up to 70.
- SLAT Personal Interaction, or PI, will be conducted after SLAT centre-based test. The weightage of PI is 30.
- To prepare the SLAT 2026 merit lists, the scores or weightages will be added.
- Consequently, merit ranks will be assigned to candidates based on the total scores obtained by them in SLAT 2026 and PI.

The centre cities in these states are Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Agra, Aligarh, Ambala, Bareilly, Jhansi, Lucknow, Pyagraj, Varanasi, Dehradun, Roorkee, Jammu, Jalandhar, Mohali, Amritsar, and Patiala. Candidates from northern India can opt for these cities as their SLAT exam centres.
Yes, candidates can get admission to four law colleges or schools at Symbiosis International University based on their SLAT scores. These law schools are Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Noida, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad. These four Symbiosis Law Schools are among the top law colleges in India. Other colleges do not accept SLAT scores. If a candidate wants to take a law entrance exam based on which he or she can apply to multiple law colleges, he or she can take the CLAT or LSAT-India. The scores of the two law entrance exams are accepted by many law colleges for admission.
The procedure to get admission to all Symbiosis Law Schools, including SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Nagpur, and SLS Hyderabad, is the same. For admission to one of these SLSs, candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below:
- Appear in the SLAT entrance exam.
- Apply for the SLAT Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interaction (PI).
- Appear in WAT and PI.
- If you get selected on the SLAT merit list of the SLS to which you applied for admission, verify your documents and pay the admission fee to the institution.
- Confirm your seats by receiving a seat allotment letter from the institution.

What after SLAT Merit List 2026

- Counselling registration and fee - Candidates have to visit the official websites of SLS colleges and check the counselling schedule and process. They have to register online only on the official website. Candidates who register successfully are issued call letters to appear for PI rounds. - Appearing for PI - Candidates have to appear for PI rounds, where a panel of judges tests candidates based on general awareness, legal knowledge, and other relevant topics.

SLAT does not happen twice a year, but it takes place on two dates in the same session. Candidates have the option to appear in either or both. The best attempt from the two will be considered to prepare the merit list. SLAT 2026 exam will be held on:
