TS PGLCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria - Academic Qualification

Candidates seeking admission through the TS PGLCET Exam are advised to read these conditions as listed below. Meeting the eligibility conditions is crucial because any unfulfilled condition can lead to rejection of the form. So, read the official notification carefully and confirm that you meet every requirement before applying for TS PGLCET 2026. 

• Should have passed LL.B./B.L. 3/5 Year degree on the date of application, for a 1-year LLM
• Candidates who have appeared/appearing for LLB/BA Final year examination are also eligible to apply
• Candidates must have passed or are appearing in the final year examinations of a five-year LLB course OR three-year LLB course to be eligible for admission in the LLM Course
• The law college must be recognised by BCI

TS PGLCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria - Marks Required for Admission

Applicants must fulfill the minimum marks criteria to be eligible for admission at the time of counselling to the TS PGLCET 2026 law college: 

• All General category candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate of all semesters of the graduation degree
• Candidates from the OBC category should have secured 42% marks in the qualifying degree to be considered eligible for admission. 
• Candidates from the SC/ ST category should have secured at least 40% marks in the qualifying degree final examinations.

Note: The OBC candidates shall invariably submit their OBC certificate issued by the competent authority to support 42% of aggregate marks in Graduation, as informed by TGCHE.

TS PGLCET 2026 Age Limit 

Students must check the age limit criteria as well before filling out the TS PGLCET 2026 Application Form. According to the exam authority, there is no age limit for the law courses admissions. Candidates can apply for the LLM course irrespective of their age. It was also stated in the information bulletin of the law entrance exam, "There shall be no Age restriction for the candidates seeking admission into LLM Courses, through appearing at TS PGLCET as per the Bar Council of India Lr. No. BCI/D/2337/2018(LE/Cir.4) dated 26.11.2018. The detailed information is available on the official website i.e. barcouncilofindia.org. The OBC candidates are mandated to submit their OBC certificate issued by the competent authority to support 42% of aggregate marks in Graduation.
