The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) released the TS PGLCET 2025 registration form on March 1, 2025, at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. Only candidates eligible as per the prescribed eligibility criteria for TS PGLCET 2025 will be shortlisted for final admission round. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for the LLM course as mentioned by TSCHE.

TS PGLCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Academic Qualification

Candidates seeking admission through TS PGLCET 2025 have to match the required conditions as, "Candidates for 1 year LLM should have passed LL.B./B.L. 3/5 Year degree on the date of application, and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible to apply."

Q:   Are non-local candidates eligible for TS PGLCET?
A:

Non-locals or candidates who do not belong to Telangana can apply for TS PGLCET. However, they need to make sure to meet exam eligibility criteria. The criteria are mentioned below: 

TS PGLCET Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
  • Candidates must have completed a 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB degree. 
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their 3-year/5-year LLB degree can also apply for TS PGLCET 2025. These candidates need their final marksheet at the time of TS PGLCET counselling. The minimum marks requirement in the qualifying exam (LLB exam) must be met by them.
Qualifying Marks
  • The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25% (i.e. 30 marks out of total 120 marks).
  • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed. 
Age Limit
  • There is no age limit to apply for TS PGLCET.
Q:   I have 1156 rank in TS PGLCET and I belong to BC-B category. Can I get a seat in a private college in Hyderabad?
A:

According to the information provided by you, you have some chances to get admission to LL.M. courses in a private law college in Hyderabad with a 1156 rank. However, because you are applying under the BC-B category, the number of seats available in this category will also determine whether you are admitted. You can submit an application for admission to the Mahatma Gandhi Law College in Hyderabad, the Padala Rama Reddi Law College, and the Adarsha Law College of Hanamkonda. Thereafter, the list of provisionally selected candidates for TS PGLCET will be released. You can refer to this list to ensure whether your are selected for the admission or not.

Q:   Who is eligible for Osmania University PharmD admission?
A:

For Osmania University PharmD admission, students must have a valid TS EAMCET score. The minimum eligibility criteria required is graduation with an aggregate of 50% from an Institute/University approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. 

The law college must be recognised by BCI. Therefore, the candidates have to fullfill following conditions at the time of counselling, in order to secure a seat at TS PGLCET 2025 law college: 

  • They must be passed or appearing in final year examinations of five-year LLB course OR three-year LLB course to be eligible for LLM course admission
  • All General category candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate of all semesters of graduation degree
  • Candidates from OBC category should have secured 42% marks in the qualifying degree to be considered eligible for admission. 
  • Candidates from SC/ ST category should have secured at least 40% marks in the qualifying degree final examinations.

Note: The OBC candidates shall invariably submit their OBC certificate issued by the competent authority to support 42% of aggregate marks in Graduation, as informed by TSCHE.

TS PGLCET Age Eligibility 2025 

According to the exam authority, there will be no age limit for the law courses admissions. Candidates can apply for LLM course irrespective of their age. It was also stated in the information bulltetin of the law entrance exam, "There shall be no Age restriction for the candidates seeking admission into LL. M. Courses, through appearing at TS PGLCET as per the Bar Council of India Lr. No. BCI/D/2337/2018(LE/Cir.4) dated 26.11.2018. The TS LAWCET LLM exam is called the TS PGLCET. The TS PGLCET eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must have obtained a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree or a graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university.
  • Candidates who are appearing for their final year/semester of the LLB course can also apply for TS PGLCET. However, they need their final year marksheet at the time of TS PGLCET counselling.
Minimum Marks in qualifying exam
  • General & OBC: Minimum of 50% marks 
  • SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 45% marks 
Age Limit
  • There is no age limit to apply for TS PGLCET.
Q:   Does Osmania University provide seat reservation to B.Tech students?
A:

Yes, Osmania University offers BTech students seat reservations as per government policies. These reservations are usually on the following grounds:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST): A fixed percentage of seats are set aside for students from these categories.
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): Seats are also reserved for students coming from the OBC backgrounds for the purpose of social justice.
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): Some percentage of seats are allotted for candidates falling under EWS category.
  • Physically Handicapped (PH): There are also some sea reservations for the physically challenged individuals.
  • Women: A few number of seats may also be reserved for women in certain specified branches.

These reservations have been decided  by the governments of both the state of Telangana and the union of India. 

Q:   What happens if a student fails in the internal exams at Osmania University College for Women?
A:

If a student fails in the internal exams at OUCW, there is no re-test. The internal exam consists of 15 marks and 5 marks for the assignment work. And 80 marks are for semester exams. So if one fails in the internal exams at OUCW there is nothing to worry about. The total passing marks of a student is 35 out of 100 which can be scored in the semester exams.
