SLAT Application Form 2026: The Symbiosis International University (SIU) commenced the SLAT 2026 registration from August 01, 2025 on the official SLAT website - slat-test.org. The last date to apply for the SLAT 2026 exam is November 30, 2025. To complete the Symbiosis Law Admission Test application process, candidates will have to register for SLAT 2026, pay the application fee, and proceed with the part two of the application form wherein, they need to select a Law course among BA LLB (Hons.) BBA LLB (Hons.), BA LLB and BBA LLB, and the preferred SLS to complete the SLAT application form 2026.

How to Fill SLAT Application Form 2026?

The SLAT application form has 2 parts - part 1 is the application process for SLAT and part 2 is the admission form to apply for law courses at SLS Pune, Hyderabad, Noida and Nagpur. The steps to complete the application process is as follows:

Step 1: Register for SLAT exam

  1. On the official website of SIU, go for the 'Register' button and the registration window opens.
  2. Carefully read all the instructions, then click on the 'Continue' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Candidates need to enter the details required as under:
  • Registration information - Candidate' name, Gender, Category, and Date of Birth
  • Address for communication - Mobile phone number, primary email ID
  • Class 12th details - Select the stream of education from Science, Commerce, Arts, or others
  • Select the programme - BA LLB (Hons.)/ BCom LLB (Hons.)/ BA LLB/ BBA LLB.
  • Preferred test city and exam date- Select three cities as the preferred location to appear for SLAT 2026
  • Upload the latest photograph and click on 'Save & Continue'

Step 2: Enter OTP & Pay SLAT Registration Fee
  1. Next, enter the OTP sent to the mobile number or Email ID
  2. After successful registration, you will get an email & SMS containing your SLAT ID and password. 
  3. Pay the SLAT entrance test registration fee of INR 2250 per test, in addition to that, you are also expected to pay the non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of INR 1000.

The fee can be paid using any one of the following modes.

  1. Billdesk Gateway
  2. Easebuzz Payment Gateway
  3. Demand Draft

Payment through Demand Draft: The candidates can also pay the SLAT application fee using a Demand Draft (DD) of any nationalised bank. It should be drawn in favour of the "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" to be payable at Pune. Candidates need to select “DD” as the payment mode in the “Make Payment” tab. Further, candidates need to “take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat”, informs the official website. The DD needs to be sent to the below-mentioned address:

Step 4: Submit the SLAT application form for admission to SLS

  • Once all the above-mentioned steps are complete, candidates are sent an email confirmation that contains their application number. 
  • Apart from this, candidates also need to register for admission at specific Law institutes of Symbiosis International University in which they want admission.
  • Candidates should keep a copy of the filled-in application form of SLAT 2026 for future references.

Q:   Can I fill out the SLAT application form offline?
A: 

No, candidates cannot fill out the application form offline. The exam authority for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) releases the SLAT application form online only. SLAT is conducted for all candidates from different Indian states. It is difficult for the exam authority to make the exam form available to everyone at different physical centres. Thus, to allow all the exam aspirants to access the SLAT application form, the exam authority makes it available online on the official website of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org. SLAT application or registration forms can also be accessed on the website of Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad.

 

Q:   Does SLAT happen twice a year?
A: 

SLAT does not happen twice a year, but it takes place on two dates in the same session. Candidates have the option to appear in either or both. The best attempt from the two will be considered to prepare the merit list. SLAT 2026 exam will be held on:

Q:   How can I pay the SLAT institute fee while registering for SLAT?
A: 

A candidate desirous of submitting his candidate to select UG programmes is also required to complete the payment process for the desired programme before the losing date for payment of the same. Payment towards the programmes must be made through the website only (set-test.org). After making the payment for SLAT, proceed to complete the online registration form (Part II) for programme registration and the respective institute (s). A candidate is required to make a separate, non-refundable, and non-transferable payment of INR 1000 per programme per institute at this stage.

 

Q:   How can I access my SLAT portals to get SLAT details, if I forget my SLAT password after filling in the SLAT application form?
A: 

If candidates forget their SLAT password after filling in the SLAT application form, they can retrieve it. They need to visit the website of the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT). Then, they need to click on the link related to the SLAT log in portals. After clicking on the link, a new window will be opened that requires candidates to enter their SLAT ID and password. On this window, they will find an option of “Forget Password.” By clicking on this option, candidates will be redirected to a new page where they need to enter their name, email, and date of birth. After entering these details, they will be able to get the SLATpassword rest option.

SLAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

To fill out the SLAT 2026 application form, candidates must make sure that they are eligible. The eligibility criteria are as follows,

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2
  • 10+2 appearing candidates with results awaited can also fill out the form
  • Candidates who have a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes) or equivalent grade in 10+2 can apply.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for SLAT?
A: 

The SLAT eligibility criteria are based on two points. The first point is that candidates must have passed Class 12. The education of candidates should be in the format of (10+2) from any recognised board. Students who completed their Class 12 at an open school are not eligible for SLAT. The second point is that candidates from the general or open category must have scored 45%. Aspirants from the scheduled caste or scheduled tribe (SC / ST) category require a minimum of 40% marks to appear in the SLAT.

 

Q:   What are the reservation criteria for SLAT?
A: 

SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.

How to pay the SLAT 2026 application fee?

The candidates who complete the SLAT application process by paying the application fee can download SLAT 2026 admit card. The application fee can be paid using any of the below-given modes:

  1. Billdesk Payment Gateway
  2. Indian Bank Payment Gateway
  3. Demand Draft

To submit a Demand Draft (DD) from any Nationalized Bank in favour of the “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune, follow the below steps:

    • Choose the mode of Payment as 'DD Payment' in the "Make Payment" Tab.
    • Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at:
  • SYMBIOSIS TEST SECRETARIAT, SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL (DEEMED UNIVERSITY), Gram: Lavale, Tal: Mulshi, Dist.: Pune – 412115
  • The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the details of the Demand Draft and will send you an email confirming the payment.

Q:   Is there any relaxation to the SLAT application fee for candidates from reserved categories?
A: 

The Symbiosis International University does not provide any relations to reserved category candidates on the SLAT application fee. Candidates belonging to all categories are required to pay the same amount as the SLAT fee. The SLAT Institute fee for candidates in all categories is also equal. In 2023, the SLAT application fee was INR 1950 for all applicants. However, the SLAT institute fee in the same year was INR 1000. The SLAT application fee and institute registration fee are subject to change as per a decision by the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) authority.

Documents needed for SLAT Application Form 2026

Candidates aspiring to fill out the SLAT application form must keep certain documents and details ready before filling up their forms such as, 

  • Email ID & Mobile number
  • A recent photograph of the candidate (10 KB to 500 KB)
  • Qualifying exam mark sheet 
  • The passport size photograph which should not more than three months old

Q:   When is the last date for SLAT 2025 registration?
A: 

The SLAT 2025 application or registration process was started on August 15, 2024. The last date to fill out the SLAT 2025 registration or application form will be November 22, 2024.

To fill out the SLAT 2024 registration cum application form, candidates will have to visit the official SET website, slat-test.org, fill out the SLAT 2025 registration and application forms, pay the application fee, and submit the form to complete the SLAT 2025 application process. The SLAT application process can only be completed online by visiting the SET website.
