Candidates who wish to participate in the ILSAT exam should review the syllabus before beginning their preparation. The ICFAI University released the detailed syllabus on its official website. The syllabus has been released separately for each subject. The question paper will be based on five subjects, i.e., English, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Analytical Reasoning.

In ILSAT 2026 Exam, each section will have 25 objective-type questions. There will be a total of 125 questions. As per the ILSAT Exam Pattern, candidates will be awarded one mark each for a correct answer. No negative marking is there for incorrect or unattempted questions. ILSAT Marking Scheme 2026

Understanding the syllabus & pattern is a must for students preparing for the ILSAT Exam. It is also equally essential to understand the ILSAT 2026 marking scheme

  1. For each question, one mark is allotted and, will be awarded to candidates for correct attempts in the exam.
  2. There is no negative marking for a wrong answer in the exam.
  3. No marks will be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted by the candidates 
  4. The final results will be an evaluation of correct answers excluding wrong attempts or not attempted questions by the candidates.

Students awaiting their 10+2 results can also apply, and qualifying the ILSAT exam (or having valid CLAT/LSAT scores) is mandatory. 

Q:   Is there any age limit to apply for ILSAT Exam?
A: 

Yes, there is an age limit for the ILSAT for undergraduate programs. Candidates must be 21 years or younger as of the start of the first semester. This can change based on Bar Council of India rules. For PG courses there is no age limit.

Yes the ILSAT Result was published on December 18 2025. The phase 2 exam will be held on April 5 2026. Candidates must note that the scorecard for phase 2 will be released on April 9, 2026.

The ICFAI Law School allocates exam centers based on candidate preferences submitted during the application. But it do considersfactors like demand and availability.  It has the right to make final assignments, with the final center printed on the admit card.

No. you can not get your exam centre changed once the admit card is published. The hall ticket is the most important document to appear in the exam. But in case you find any discrepancies in the hall ticket you can reach out to the authorities.
