The TGCHE has released the TG PGLCET 2026 Exam Date via a notification. The TS PGLCET 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 18, 2026. The TS PGLCET entrance test is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education for admissions to the LLM (Master of Laws) course offered in the Colleges of Law, Telangana. It is a state-level exam, held online as a computer-based test. The TG PGLCET 2026 Application Process is expected to begin in March 2026

TS PGLCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the TG PGLCET 2026, candidates have to meet some eligibility criteria. The Telangana Council of Higher Education has mentioned the following TS PGLCET eligibility criteria for admission to the LLM course.

  • Candidates needed to be Indian nationals.
  • Candidates needed a bachelor's degree in law, either a three-year LLB degree or a five-year integrated LLB degree.
  • The candidates appearing for the final year examination are also eligible to apply for TG PGLCET; however, they should provide proof of qualification at the time of admission.
  • Candidates who were seeking admission for the LM degree (Private Appearance) at Osmania University required experience of at least 3-years as a judicial officer or as an advocate on the date of appearing for the TG PGLCET exam.
  • Moreover, candidates were also required to satisfy the local/ unreserved status criteria as mentioned by Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974.

Non-locals or candidates who do not belong to Telangana can apply for TS PGLCET. However, they need to make sure to meet exam eligibility criteria. The criteria are mentioned below:

  • Candidates must have completed a 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB degree. 
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their 3-year/5-year LLB degree can also apply for TS PGLCET 2025. These candidates need their final marksheet at the time of TS PGLCET counselling. The minimum marks requirement in the qualifying exam (LLB exam) must be met by them.
Qualifying Marks
  • The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25% (i.e. 30 marks out of total 120 marks).
  • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed.

  • There is no age limit to apply for TS PGLCET.
