GLIM offers PGPM admissions based on NMAT scores. However, no official cutoff is released with the GLIM admission guidelines. Check details on GLIM NMAT cutoff below.
GLIM NMAT Cutoff: Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) does not declare an official minimum NMAT cutoff for admission. For the PGPM 2027-28 admissions cycle, NMAT scores from 2025 onwards are accepted for the one-year PGPM. PGPM course offered at Great Lakes requires at least 24 months of full-time work experience. Unofficial historical data and coaching institutes claim a score requirement between 200 and 220 for GLIM admissions via NMAT. GLIM uses performance of candidates in NMAT exam for interview screening. Final admissions are decided based on the academic records, work experience, essays, and personal interviews.

Official GLIM NMAT Cutoff
Great Lakes does not have any minimum cutoff (overall or sectional) for NMAT, CAT, XAT, or GMAT applicants applying to the one-year PGPM. Candidates are shortlisted for admission rounds based on their profile strength.
Aptitude test scores are used for interview shortlisting. As per the official admission guidelines, exam scores do not carry much weight during final selection at GLIM. One must also note that, merely meeting a specified score criteria does not guarantee an interview call.

NMAT Score Required for GLIM based on Past Trends
Since GLIM does not notify the NMAT cutoffs, the historical trends from interactions with shortlisted candidates remain the only source. Several sources claim, GLIM requires candidates to obtain an overall score of 200+ in NMAT to get shortlisted for admission rounds. Some sources state that GLIM NMAT cutoff remains around 209 and 210.
Does Great Lakes Accept NMAT? Programmes and Campuses
NMAT by GMAC is accepted by Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai for its flagship one-year PGPM. Candidates have to fill a common application form for Chennai campus as well as the Gurgaon campus. The PGDM course offered at GLIM does not consider NMAT scores. Candidates aspiring for GLIM PGDM have to appear for CAT exam, XAT, or GMAT. Detailed course structures and exam requirements for all programmes offered at GLIM remain subject to campus-specific guidelines.
GLIM NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2027
To apply for the PGPM 2027-28 batch using an NMAT score, candidates must meet the official eligibility requirements set by Great Lakes:
- Bachelor's Degree: Candidates must hold a recognised bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised institution. Final-year students are not eligible for the one-year PGPM.
- Academic Performance: A minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA is required across Class 10, Class 12, and graduation.
- Work Experience: Candidates must possess at least 24 months of full-time, post-graduation work experience completed by 30 April 2027. Part-time roles, project work, and college internships are not counted toward this requirement.
- Valid Scorecards: Great Lakes accepts official NMAT scores from exams taken from 2025 onwards (including NMAT 2025 and NMAT 2026). If an applicant takes the exam more than once, the institute considers the best score submitted.
- Application Fee: The application processing fee is stated as INR 2,200.
How GLIM Shortlists Candidates for Admissions?
Securing a competitive NMAT score does not guarantee admission to Great Lakes. The GLIM admission process uses test scores as a preliminary screening mechanism to invite candidates to the evaluation rounds. Final selection depends on an assessment of the candidate's complete profile.
- Application Submission: Candidates submit work experience, academic records, recommendations, and test scores through the admissions portal.
- Screening & Assessment Invite: Applications are screened on overall profile strength and test scores. Candidates awaiting test results may be considered for early interviews based on profile quality.
- Interviews & Assessments: Shortlisted applicants participate in a video interview or written/online assessment along with a personal interview (PI).
- Final Evaluation: The admissions committee reviews overall performance across all stages.
- Offer & Acceptance: Selected applicants receive an offer letter and complete admission by paying the commitment fee.
GLIM admission process indicates that a candidate with a strong profile and slightly lower test scores can be selected over someone with high test scores but a weaker overall profile. Evaluation criteria include academic consistency, professional achievements, quality of work experience, written essays, interview performance, etc. GLIM does not publish a weightage for admission parameters.
GLIM Admission Routes for Freshers or Low NMAT Scores
Applicants facing score constraints or eligibility mismatches have alternative pathways available:
Candidates with 24+ Months of Work Experience: If your NMAT score falls below the reported 200 mark, GLIM may still evaluate your application if your professional profile, leadership background, and academic record are exceptional. The institute does not establish an official minimum cutoff score requirements. Candidates can also retake the exam within testing window, as GLIM evaluates the best NMAT score.
Freshers and Candidates with Under 24 Months of Experience: Fresh graduates cannot use NMAT to apply to Great Lakes. The two-year PGDM accepts candidates with 0 to 36 months of experience, but requires scores from CAT, XAT, or GMAT. Freshers can explore the cutoffs of other NMAT colleges that accept entry-level applicants without prior work experience, or prepare for alternative exams to qualify for GLIM's two-year PGDM.

Cutoffs, including any sectional criteria, can change from year to year based on applicant volume, seats and the college's policy. Always rely on the latest admission cycle's official information.

A retake can help if your target colleges clearly apply sectional minimums and you have attempts remaining. Confirm the retake rules and which score the college considers before deciding.

For colleges that use only the total score, a strong section can makup for a weaker one. For colleges that apply a sectional minimum cutoff, a high score elsewhere may not compensate.

No, GMAC reports section-wise and total scores but does not set a sectional cutoff. Any minimum section score is decided by the individual participating colleges.
