IBSAT 2026 registration has started at ibsindia.org. Students planning to pursue MBA/PGPM programme of IBS must apply for the entrance exam. IBSAT 2026 exam will be held on December 5, 6,12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2026. Read this article to know more about IBSAT exam, application process, pattern, syllabus, cutoff and results.
IBSAT 2026
IBSAT 2026 exam will be conducted on 5, 6,12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2026. This year, IBS Hyderabad has revised the test format and made it more flexible wit an 8-day test window. Candidates can choose to appear for IBSAT 2026 on a test date and slot as per their preference. IBSAT 2026 results along with scholarship allotments will be released on the Monday immediately following each weekend test cycle.
IBSAT 2026 registration process is underway and the last date to apply for the exam is different for different test dates. IBSAT registration last date 2026 for Test 1 and Test 2 is December 1, for Test 3 and 4, it is December 8, for Test 5 and 6, it is December 15 and for Test 7 and 8, the deadline to submit the form is December 22, 2026.
IBSAT 2026 application form is to be filled at the institute website only. Registration fee is INR 1800. Candidates who have CAT, XAT, NMAT and GMAT scores, can apply directly for IBS admission 2027. They will not have to appear for IBSAT exam. Candidates who plan to pursue MBA/PGPM programme from IBS Hyderbad or its other campuses, must fill the IBSAT 2026 application form at the soonest. IBS Hyderabad is conducting mock tests for aspirants to check their preparation level. The IBSAT mock test 2026 is being held once a month between July to December.

IBSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to get admission to the MBA/PGDM programmes offered at IBS campuses will be required to meet the prescribed IBSAT 2026 eligibility criteria. Applicants who do not satisfy the eligibility requirements may not be considered for admission.
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Applicants who have not completed their graduation in the English medium will be required to submit valid TOEFL, IELTS or NELT scores.
- Final-year undergraduate students will also be eligible to apply for IBSAT 2026, subject to completion of graduation within the stipulated timeline.

IBSAT Exam Pattern 2026
IBSAT 2026 question paper consists of 140 Multiple Choice Questions. IBSAT 2026 exam will be administered for 120 minutes in remote proctored mode. Refer to the table below to know the section-wise IBSAT exam pattern:

IBSAT 2026 Result
ICFAI Business School will declare the IBSAT 2026 result online at ibsindia.org. The result is expected to be announced in the last week of December 2026. To download the IBSAT scorecard, candidates must log in using their application number and password.
Based on the IBSAT 2026 score, candidates will be shortlisted for the Micro Presentation and Personal Interview rounds. During the selection rounds, candidates will be evaluated on parameters such as communication skills, leadership potential, clarity of thought, negotiation ability and positive attitude.
IBSAT 2026 Selection Process
IBS will conduct the IBSAT 2026 selection rounds, including Personal Interview and Micro Presentation, tentatively from February 14 to February 22, 2027, at the IBS Hyderabad campus. Candidates shortlisted through IBSAT, CAT, NMAT, XAT or GMAT scores must attend the selection briefing and subsequent selection rounds as per the allotted date and time. IBSAT selection briefing sessions are expected to be held between January 10 and January 24, 2027, and venue details will be released by IBS on its official website.

No, there is no negative marking in IBSAT exam. IBSAT question paper will consist of 140 question of one mark each. Candidates will given two hours to attempt 140 MCQs. For any incorrect answer or not attempted question, no mark will be dedcuted. In this scenerio, candidates must attempt all questions even if they are not sure of correct answer.
Candidates who wish to pursue MBA/ PGPM programme from ICFAI Business School (IBS) need to appear for IBSAT exam. This is held in computer-based mode. IBSAT comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) that are distributed among 4 sections Verbal Ability. Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation. The total number of questions asked in the exam is 140. Exam is of 120 minutes without negative marking. Find below the section-wise syllabus:
1. Verbal Ability: The questions are based on sentence correction, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, grammar, idioms etc. The No. of questions asked in Verbal Ability section is 50.
2. Reading Comprehension: The candidates are required to read the passages and answer the questions based on these passages. No. of question asked is 25.
3. Quantitative Aptitude: Question are from numerical ability and problem-solving skills of the candidates. The questions are based on topics like algebra, LCM, HCF, mensuration, ratio & proportion, geometry, time & speed, statistics, probability, simple & compound interest, permutations & combinations etc.
4. Data Sufficiency & Data Interpretation: The questions are based on pie charts, tables, bar/ line graphs etc. These questions must be answered on the basis of quick calculations.
