SNAP 2024 Exam Dates

The official schedule will be announced by the SIU at the SNAP Test website in August. Check the table below for SNAP 2024 dates and events.

Q:   What are the SNAP eligibility criteria?

A:

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test Eligibility Criteria: Applicants have to fulfill the below-given eligibility criteria for appearing in the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test exam 2024:

  • Graduates with a minimum 50 percent aggregate for the general category students and 45 percent for Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, and PWD candidates or equivalent in any stream from a recognised university or institute can apply for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2024.
  • Final-year graduation students are also eligible to apply but they will have to submit a passing Certificate to the institute by a certain deadline.
  • International students have to obtain a Certificate of equivalence from the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) to be able to apply for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2024.

For more information, you may visit the Shiksha Symbiosis National Aptitude Test exam page. (https://www.shiksha.com/mba/articles/snap-eligibility-blogId-19575). I hope this will help you.

Q:   How many attempts are allowed in SNAP exam?

A:

Every candidate can make three attempts in SNAP exam. The SNAP exam is conducted in three sessions in a gap of one or two weeks. Candidates can mention their number of attempts in the SNAP application form. However, they will have to pay application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only then they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable.  The scores of best attempt will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates for Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test.

Ideally candidates must take all three attempts as the difficulty level of the sessions could be different and it may so happen that one session is easy and candidates can score high in that.

Q:   Do I need to fill three different forms for three SNAP sessions?

A:

No, you don’t need to fill separate forms for separate exam sessions of SNAP. The SNAP registration cum application form has a field, where you can mention the number of attempts you wish to take. It will be recorded and you will be issued separate admit cards for each of your attempt. However, for each SNAP attempt, you will have to pay INR 2250 as exam fees. So, be very careful in deciding the number of attempts as the SNAP exam fee is non-refundable.

The SNAP exam is held in a gap of one week, so when you take the first attempt you get an idea of your preparation and performance. So you can prepare accordingly and take the next two attempts to improve your score. However, our advice will be to first take a decision on the number of exam sessions, then fill the SNAP application form.

SNAP Marking Scheme

Marking scheme of SNAP is same as other MBA entrance exams, i.e. postive marking for correct answer and negative marking for incorrect answer. Check the table below for section-wise break-up of questions and marks allotment in SNAP exam 2024:

Q:   Is SNAP exam score the only criterion for SIU MBA admission?

A:

No, clearing the SNAP exam is not the only criterion for admission. The candidates will also have to clear a personality assessment test which includes Group Exercise (GE), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round to be selected for SIU admission. This personality assessment round is conducted after SNAP result announcement and only those candidates are eligible who meet the SNAP cut off fixed by the institutes.

Apart from that, the institutes evaluate every shortlisted candidate’s academic record, i.e. score of class 10, 12 and graduation. Those who have been scoring consistently well in academics too, stand a better chance of getting selected for admission. Marks relaxation for academic and gender diversity, and work experience are also important factors for selection.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for SNAP and what is the selection process?

A:
The eligibility criteria and selection process are designed to pick the cream of the crop. To be eligible, candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks. But don't fret if you're in your final year, as you can still apply as long as you obtain the required minimum marks. Once you clear the eligibility criteria, the selection process begins, which includes shortlisting candidates based on their SNAP score, followed by the Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Writing Ability Test (GE-PIWAT). To secure your spot, you need to perform well in all stages of the selection process, including demonstrating your aptitude, communication skills, and leadership potential. It's a competitive and rigorous process, but with dedication and preparation, you can ace it and be on your way to a bright future in the field of management.

Q:   What is the MBA selection criteria through SNAP?

A:

Candidates are selected on the basis of SNAP cut offs for the MBA admission round which consists of Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). This round is held in February and March after the announcement of SNAP result.

Candidates who clear the GE-PI-WAT round are selected for MBA admission. The parameters for selection also include class 10, 12 and graduation scores, academic profile and work experience. All SIU institutes conduct Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test but individually.

Sectional SNAP cut offs may be evaluated for selection of candidate for Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. Scores of every section will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates along with their academic record. Thus, candidates must ensure that they perform well enough in each section of the SNAP exam.

Q:   How many cities can an applicant choose in SNAP for test centre allotment?

A:

An applicant can select up to three cities for allotment of test centre in the SNAP application form. The exam authorities will allot the exam centre to candidates in their preferred city. In case, seats are not available in the first preferred city, it will be notified in the form and candidates can select another city. Candidates must select their home city or city of current residence as first preference.

SNAP is conducted in about 84 cities across India. The latest list of SNAP cities has been released along with the SNAP registration form. Every city will have at least one SNAP exam centre to accommodate a minimum of 50 test takers. You can select only one city per exam session. For example, if you want to appear for SNAP exam only once, then you can select only one city.

Q:   Is SNAP required for Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Symbiosis International, Bangalore?

A:

Over the years, Symbiosis International (Deemed) University's management college affiliate SIBM Bangalore has continuously reported excellent gender diversity and successful placements. The obligatory exam, SNAP, has a significant weight in SIBM Bengaluru's MBA admissions procedure. Passing the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a requirement for enrollment in Bangalore's Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM). For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the MBA programs offered by the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Bangalore, prospective applicants are evaluated based on their SNAP Entrance Exam results.
