Candidates can mention their number of attempts in the SNAP application form. However, they will have to pay application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only then they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable. Ideally candidates must take all three attempts as the difficulty level of the sessions could be different and it may so happen that one session is easy and candidates can score high in that.
Yes, you can appear for SNAP 2026. There is no cap on number of attempts in SNAP. One can appear for the exam, any number of times until they get their desired score. However, it is very important to prepare well for SNAP. Only then one can improve score in the subsequent attempt. Yes, you are eligible to apply for SNAP. Since there is minimum score requirement for SNAP, final year candidates will have to make sure that their minimum score of first and second year is above 50% (45% for reserved category).
No, you don’t need to fill separate forms for separate exam sessions of SNAP. The SNAP registration cum application form has a field, where you can mention the number of attempts you wish to take. It will be recorded and you will be issued separate admit cards for each of your attempt. However, for each SNAP attempt, you will have to pay INR 2250 as exam fees. So, be very careful in deciding the number of attempts as the SNAP exam fee is non-refundable.
The SNAP exam is held in a gap of one week, so when you take the first attempt you get an idea of your preparation and performance. So you can prepare accordingly and take the next two attempts to improve your score. However, our advice will be to first take a decision on the number of exam sessions, then fill the SNAP application form.
An applicant can select up to three cities for allotment of test centre in the SNAP application form. The exam authorities will allot the exam centre to candidates in their preferred city. If your name does not reflect in the first list of candidates selected for admission through SNAP, then you must wait for second list. Colleges release wait list of candidates who are eligible for admission, if the seats remain vacant after first round of admission.

Candidates are selected on the basis of SNAP cut offs for the MBA admission round which consists of Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). This round is held in February and March after the announcement of SNAP result.
Candidates who clear the GE-PI-WAT round are selected for MBA admission. The parameters for selection also include class 10, 12 and graduation scores, academic profile and work experience. All SIU institutes conduct Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test but individually.
Sectional SNAP cut offs may be evaluated for selection of candidate for Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview.
