Q:   How many institutes participate in GPAT exam?

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is an annual all-India examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to evaluate candidates for admission to Master's (M. Pharm) programmes in pharmacy.  The exam will be conducted in online/computer-based mode. A total of 800 pharmaceutical participating institutes are expected to participate in GPAT 2025. The participating institutes include prominent colleges, universities, and institutions that offer M.Pharm courses and are AICTE approved

Q:   What was last year's GPAT cutoff?
A: 

Last year, GPAT cutoff was 148, 122, 120, 94 and 75 for General, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST category candidates. However, this year's GPAT cutoff will depend on several factors such as the difficulty level & number of students who appeared in the entrance exam. Students will be able to take admission on first come first serve basis. If the number of GPAT applicants increases, competition would also get tougher, and the cutoff will soar higher.

Q:   Who declares GPAT cutoff?

NBEMS the official exam conducting body is the responsible authority to release the GPAT cutoff at the official website. The GPAT cutoff will also be released by the participating institutes that accept GPAT scores. NBEMS doesn't conduct the counselling for M.Pharma admissions. It will be responsible for releasing the merit list of GPAT 2025 along with the result mentioning the status of qualifying, name of candidates. Once the GPAT cutoff is announced by individual colleges/institutes, candidates can check the cutoff score on their individual websites to seek admission in the preferred course and college.

In general, GPAT cutoff is released with the result every year on the official webiste of NTA dedicated to the GPAT exam: GPAT. NTA. Nic. In. The GPAT cutoff marks for the previous year are: 148 for General category candidates, 120 for the OBC category, 94 for SC, 75 for ST, and 122 for EWS category candidates. At the time of counselling, candidates will have to carry all the required documents for the purpose of document verification.

Eligibility Criteria for MPharm Admission

Admission to the private college is subject to the fulfilment of admission criteria. Every college has its own eligibility conditions. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is an entrance exam conducted by National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences. The test is conducted for admission to the MPharm course offered in the Pharmacy college in India. This is national level entrance test conducted once a year. GPAT is a computer based test. The questions are based on Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Allied, Pharmaceutics & Allied, Pharmacognosy & Allied Subjects, Pharmacology & Allied Subjects and Other. There are 125 questions in GPAT.

It is mandatory to fill the GPAT application form for admission to MPharm courses. The NBEMS invites online applications for the GPAT examination. Candidates who register online are eligible to take the exam.
