INI CET syllabus 2026 holds huge importance as it lays foundation of whole preparation strategy. Once students have idea about syllabus, they make plan, allotting specific time for particular subject in INI CET syllabus. It must be noted, AIIMS doesn't release word to word syllabus for INI CET exam. As per past records, AIIMS INI CET 2026 syllabus mainly comprises all subjects taught in MBBS curriculum. Syllabus comprises three section, Pre-Clinical Phase, Para-Clinical Phase and Clinical Phase. These three sections are further divided int may topics and sub topics which a student need to prepared thoroughly to score god rank in INI CET exam. AIIMS will conduct INI CET exam for 2026 July session on May 16, 2026.

INI CET syllabus helps candidates to know what to study and how much to study for the exam. Q:   Can I cover INI CET syllabus by practicing mock test only?
A: 

No. Experts suggest this is not the way to prepare for one of the most difficult exam, INI CET. Ideally, mock test is practicized only when you have prepared all the subjects of the syllabus well. The mock test is just to know what more needs to be done. Candidates get an idea which type of questions are aske din INI CEt exam through mock test. candidates are advised not to resort to such practice to start attempting mock test before thoroughly studying the subjects of INI CET syllabus.

Q:   How to cover the whole INI CET syllabus in less time?
A: 

Candidates do need at least 3 months time to cover whole syllabus of INI CET as it is one of the toughtest exams in medical field. To compelte pre, para and clinical sections, candidates do need 2 months and one month should be kept aside for solving mock and question papers. Having said that, if candidate is super brilliant and already prepared topics of MBBS syllabus well during undergraduate days, he/she can crack the exam easy with less time.

Q:   Can I crack the INI CET exam by studying only clinical section?
A: 

No. As INI CET exam is one of the toughest medical exams, only covering clinical section may not help. Candidates have to prepare both pre and para clinical as well. Though clinical section comprises good number of questions, candidates are advised to focus all the three sections to score top ranks in INI CET exam.

Q:   Which part of INI CET syllabus is difficult to prepare?

All three subjects such as clinical, pre clinical, para clinical are equally difficult to prepare. Clinical topics are vast in comparison to pre and para clinical topics. Ideally candidates should focus on understanding the concept. Candidates should keep the fact in mind INI CET is one of the toughest exams so shallow preparation doesn’t work. They should have robust plan and strategy to crack the exam.

Q:   How many sections will be there in the INI CET syllabus?
A: 

There will be three sections in the INI CET 2025 November syllabus, Pre-Clinical, Clinical and Para-Clinical. Candidates are advised to prepare all three sections in details to score well in the exam. Pre clinical section comprises subjects such as Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy while Para clinical includes Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic, Medicine, Pharmacology, and Community Medicine. Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Community Medicine, Paediatrics, Clinical Postings, Surgery & Allied Subjects Medicine and allied subjects, have been included in clinical section.

INI CET 2026 Pattern

AIIMS will uoload INI CET Nov 2026 pattern online. Exam pattern comprises what mode exam will take place. In addition, how many questions will be there, medium of exam, question type etc. As per the existing pattern, the exam is held in computer-based mode in English language only. The question paper comprises 200 multiple choice questions and candidates get 3 hours to answer them. There is a provision of negative marking in INI CET exam.

Q:   How many marks will be deducted for wrong response in INI CET?
A: 

According to INI CET pattern, there is a provision of negative marking in exam. Students will get +1 mark for every right answer while there will be a deduction of -1/3 mark for every wrong answer. Students are advised to answer only those questions where they feel confidence of right answer otherwise negative score may reduce overall total score in INI CET 2025 exam.

Q:   What will be the duration of INI CET 2025 exam?
A: 

Candidates will be given three hours or 180 minutes to attempt INI CET 2025 November exam question paper. According to INI CET 2025 exam pattern, a total of 200 multiple choice questions will be asked. Candidates will get 1 mark for every right answer and -1/3 for every wrong answer. No mark will be awarded or deducted for unanswered questions. Exam pattern is released along with the official information brochure.

Q:   Is INI CET exam tough?
A: 

Yes. Exam is one of the toughest exams to get admission into PG courses in medical field. However, it can be cracked with proper planning and strategies. Students are advised to prepare all subjects taught during MBBS course. Only those candidates who have valid MBBS degree from recognised college or university can apply for exam. AIIMS conducts exam twice a year, January and July session.

Q:   Can I register offline for AIIMS INI CET exam?
A: 

No. According to official information brochure, candidates will have to register online. Registration can be done on the official website, aiimsexams.ac.in to submit applications for AIIMS INI CET 2025 November exam. It must be noted that INI CET application form is filed in two stages, basic and final registration. Those who complete the basic registration can go for final registration. Generation of the Exam Unique Code (EUC) is mandatory to submit applications for INI CET exam.

 

Q:   What is the weightage of various sections in INI CET exam?
A: 

AIIMS doesn't release the sectional weightage for INI CET exam. However, experts believe clinical section comprises maximum weightage in the exam especially medicine and surgery. Both medicine and surgery comprises more than 80 percent questions in the exam. A good number of questions are asked from pathology as well.

Q:   Do questions repeat in the INI CET exam?
A: 

At times, questions get repeated in the INI CET exam. But candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly so that they can answer every possible question in the exam. As the INI CET is one of the toughest exams, candidates should focus on concepts. At least two revisions are required before the exam date. After finishing the INI CET syllabus, candidates should appear in a mock test and solve previous question papers. Appearing in the mock test and analyzing their performance will boost their confidence.

In the January session, overall difficulty was moderate to difficult. 60 percent of questions were easy while 30-40 difficult.

Q:   Has AIIMS released INI CET 2026 date for May exam?
A: 

Yes. AIIMS released INI CET 2026 exam date for May exam. Exam will be held on May 16, 2026 in computer-based mode. Candidates have to register online and submit application form for INI CET. The application process for AIIMS INI CET comprises basic and final registration. Candidates who apply successfully are issued admit card.
