Banaras Hindu University is one of the top-ranking universities in the country. As per the NIRF rankings 2023, the university is ranked at fifth position among the top universities in India. Moreover, as per the BHU NIRF report 2023, 480 UG (three-year) students were placed out of 3,564. The median package given to the placed candidates stood at INR 8 LPA. This was also the highest median package offered in the last three years. Moreover, as per media reports, the overall the highest and average package offered during BHU placements 2023 stood at INR 1.2 crore per annum and INR 23.13 LPA. Banaras Hindu University is a central university situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh set up by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. The university is approved by both, UGC and AICTE.

The hostel fee structure for BHU is INR 3,000 - INR 4,000 per semester depending upon the degree. The hostel fee does not include mess charges. Banaras Hindu University is spread across a 1,300-acre campus. There are 41 hostels for boys and 21 for girls. Additionally, there is separate accommodation for international students. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, a common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security and surveillance system, etc.

Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.

BHU MA cutoff 2025 was released for admission in various fields, like Mathematics, Mass Communication,  Conflict Management and Development, etc. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 5 to 253. As per the last round, the toughest MA course was MA in Psychology, with the cutoff being 253. On the other side, the easiest programme was MA in Persian, with a cutoff of 20.

BHU 2026 BSc Nursing admission is based on CUET UG scores. The BHU merit list for CUET UG will be released on the official website of BHU. According to the BHU, there will be three rounds of counselling along with an optional fourth round, if the seats remain vacant. Talking about the BHU maximum cutoff score of the previous year, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology became the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the students belonging to the General quota. 

For MBBS in BHU, students shall have secured at least 50 percentile if belonging to the General category, 45 for physically handicapped General candidates, and 40 for the SC/ST/OBC category students. It must be noted that the mentioned information is for reference purposes, candidates shall score at least this much to take admission. Banaras Hindu University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to BHU BTech course must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English with a minimum 50% aggregate. Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned here, candidates are also required to appear for the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for BHU BTech admission 2023. 

According to the IMS BHU MBA placement report 2025, the highest package offered during MBA & MBA IB and MBA Agri-Business placements 2025 was INR 19.8 LPA and INR 16 LPA, respectively.

Yes, it is necessary that the candidates seeking admission to BA Hons in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics studied Maths in the qualifying examination. For other specialisations, candidates without maths in Class 12 shall also be eligible to apply. For verification purposes. Candidates also have to provide the academic certificates during form filling and admission confirmation or counselling.

BHU offers a five-year MBBS course through the Institute of Medical Sciences. Admission to the medical course is based on merit in the NEET-UG exam followed by the counselling round conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Yes, Banaras Hindu University accept CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the BHU admission portal for counselling. The admission is done in order of merit based on the normalised score of the CUET (PG) and reservation policy as per the provisions laid down in the BHU PET Information Brochure.

Banaras Hindu University MBA tuition fee amount is INR 2.2 lakh. This fee component is charged semester-wise or yearly.
