Q:   Can I get a seat at BHU with 200 marks in CUET?
A: 

Banaras Hindu University cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to UG and PG courses. As per round 4 of the CUET UG BHU cut off 2025, the cutoff scores ranged between 94 and 628.46 for the B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology for the General category All India quota candidates.  So, considering the BHU latest round cutoff, a cutoff score of 200 is sufficient to get a seat in some courses at BHU.

Q:   Is BHU good for pursuing BCom (Hons) course?

Banaras Hindu University is one of the top-ranking universities in the country. As per the NIRF rankings 2023, the university is ranked at fifth position among the top universities in India. Moreover, as per the BHU NIRF report 2023, 480 UG (three-year) students were placed out of 3,564. The median package given to the placed candidates stood at INR 8 LPA. Q:   What is the hostel fee at BHU, including mess charge and everything?
A: 
The hostel fee structure for BHU is INR 3,000 - INR 4,000 per semester depending upon the degree. The hostel fee does not include mess charges. Banaras Hindu University is spread across a 1,300-acre campus. There are 41 hostels for boys and 21 for girls. Additionally, there is separate accommodation for international students. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, a common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security and surveillance system, etc.
Q:   Does BHU accept CUET for BSc (Hons) admission?
A: 

Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.

Q:   What is the cutoff for MA in BHU?
A: 

BHU MA cutoff 2025 was released for admission in various fields, like Mathematics, Mass Communication,  Conflict Management and Development, etc. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 5 to 253. As per the last round, the toughest MA course was MA in Psychology, with the cutoff being 253. On the other side, the easiest programme was MA in Persian, with a cutoff of 20.

Q:   What is the minimum marks required for BHU in CUET?
A: 

BHU 2026 BSc Nursing admission is based on CUET UG scores. The BHU merit list for CUET UG will be released on the official website of BHU. According to the BHU, there will be three rounds of counselling along with an optional fourth round, if the seats remain vacant. Talking about the BHU maximum cutoff score of the previous year, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology became the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the students belonging to the General quota. 

Q:   How many marks are required in NEET for MBBS in BHU?
A: 

For MBBS in BHU, students shall have secured at least 50 percentile if belonging to the General category, 45 for physically handicapped General candidates, and 40 for the SC/ST/OBC category students. It must be noted that the mentioned information is for reference purposes, candidates shall score at least this much to take admission. Q:   What are the requirements for BHU BTech?
A: 

Banaras Hindu University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to BHU BTech course must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English with a minimum 50% aggregate. Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned here, candidates are also required to appear for the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for BHU BTech admission 2023.

Q:   Is Maths compulsory for BA Hons in BHU?
A: 

Yes, it is necessary that the candidates seeking admission to BA Hons in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics studied Maths in the qualifying examination. For other specialisations, candidates without maths in Class 12 shall also be eligible to apply. For verification purposes. Candidates also have to provide the academic certificates during form filling and admission confirmation or counselling.

Q:   Is MBBS available at BHU?
A: 

BHU offers a five-year MBBS course through the Institute of Medical Sciences. Admission to the medical course is based on merit in the NEET-UG exam followed by the counselling round conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). During form filling, students need to submit their NEET-UG score along with the All India Rank and other details. Candidates can visit the BHU website (bhu.ac.in) to apply for the course. Moreover, eligible students must register on the MCC portal for counselling.

Q:   Does BHU accept CUET?
A: 

Yes, Banaras Hindu University accept CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the BHU admission portal for counselling. The admission is done in order of merit based on the normalised score of the CUET (PG) and reservation policy as per the provisions laid down in the BHU PET Information Brochure.
